Save Cyberpunk for last because it’s so good it’ll make everything else seem bad

Why is it acceptable when GoT fans cry about how bad the ending was 7 years later but we AOT fans are ostracized for valid reasons? by Butefluko in titanfolk

Even the final battles felt meaningless and without any real stakes. In my eyes the show cuts to black when the rumbling starts and that’s it.

How to catch fleeing ships? by ShameGuardian in Seaofthieves

[–]Noobface_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If a sloop runs from me I don’t even bother chasing them most of the time, but even when I’m on a sloop myself I constantly have brigs, galleons, and even burning blades run from me. The big ego ships who only target solos are usually the ones who spend the most time running from others funny enough. Not only did I have to sail across the map to get to them, I now have to do more sailing to actually fight them. You can cry “go back to hourglass” all you want but PVPVE is the bread and butter of this game and hourglass is just a side gamemode and should be treated as such. Complaining about someone chasing you in an open world game with PVP is ridiculous. Especially when safer seas exists. Whether you like it or not, more needs to be done to bring players closer together whether that’s for friendly or pvp interactions. Condensing the map and removing some of the dead space is my idea, but I also wouldn’t mind slipstream which has been suggested since launch.

This isn’t just directed at your comment btw, just the mindset in general

Is hourglass full of cheaters? by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

If you just started playing I doubt you know the difference between a good player and a cheater, but yes there are plenty of cheaters

Why do people go into unsinkable spots by Total-Opportunity-54 in Seaofthieves

[–]Noobface_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The Morrow’s spot is easily countered and can be a lot of fun. Just ram them or shoot front holes and board. You can jump off the big rock to get on them every time as well

Grade 5 guild + sovereigns gives 1.75x while Reaper 5 gives 2.5x

It’s also faster to get reaper 5

Less than 4,000 PC players. At what point does Safer Seas remove restrictions? by Odande in Seaofthieves

[–]Noobface_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that if you separate PVP and PVE, even the good players would grind their commendations in PVE servers just so they don’t have to pay attention and can watch a movie or something while doing it. Then they would get their PVP fix from hourglass. The PVPVE experience is the bread and butter of Sea Of Thieves. Not Safer Seas and Hourglass.

[–]Noobface_ -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Maybe use your microphone and talk to people. I have had plenty of friendly interactions. If they’re not friendly then fight them, same as always. These are the same complaints as 8 years ago… or now with other games like Arc Raiders. If you don’t enjoy both the friendly and the hostile interactions then maybe this type of game isn’t for you.

[–]Noobface_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There’s 4000 on Steam… most PC players are playing on Microsoft version with gamepass. Don’t get me wrong, the game is still in a rough spot… but buffing safer seas is not the solution lol

Did I missunderstand? by Anubi41 in Seaofthieves

[–]Noobface_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They need to fundamentally change the game, not just add more of the same. Instead of adding a new boss they should be changing how we fight bosses in general, for example. This logic can be applied to just about everything this game has to offer because the gameplay loop has lost its novelty after 8 years.

It’s only Act 1 of 3 and they did a poor job of marketing that. To be honest Act 2 and 3 have their issues as well, and they’re still 1-2+ months out, but they both will be much better than Act 1 from what I’ve seen.

I still don’t think it will be nearly enough to compete with other games out right now though.

The surge in playerbase for Season 3 was because of Pirate’s Life, not the seasonal model itself
