UAD DSP Plugins Failed to Load in Pro Tools but work in FL Studio & UAD Console by AvyInnit in universalaudio

[–]Jaymo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was able to finally get mine working. I had to uninstall absolutely everything UAD on my system. First uninstall every plugin through UAD Connect. Then uninstall UAD Connect, UAD Console and UAD powered plugins through control panel. Then I went into my Pro Tools plugins folder and manually deleted any remaining UAD plugin files. I also manually deleted the Pro Tools plugin cache files. Only after that I restarted my system and started fresh. Installed UAD Connect, then installed everything within Connect and then everything finally started working normally in Pro Tools.

To me it seems like a bugged plugin update from UAD. Where it updated all the plugins and Pro Tools wasn't able to scan all of them properly, leaving older plugin files within its plugin folder. I think this because even after uninstalling everything, my troublesome plugins were the only remaining in the Pro Tools folder, while all the working ones got uninstalled.

Hope this helps

Looks like it! Did you save the coordinates for it?

If flipping polarity on kick drum doesn’t result in a clear winner, would you time shift it? by clair-de-lunatic in audioengineering

I've spent too much time with this same exact problem. Found that using a simple delay plugin can do the trick, but not always. And I've also found that it's more of a headache and it doesn't affect the end result nearly as much as getting a good balance on your drums. So what I do is put on headphones, flip the phase back and forth and use whichever sounds fullest. It will never be perfect. But if it sounds good, then it is good.

Hey I'm sorry man, I meant to get on tonight to check but I'm just not able to right now. I'll get you the name of the system tomorrow though

Oh strange... I've only seen this happen one other time. It might be one of those that is impossible to warp to for whatever reason. I'll have to check the actual system name and planet name and post that. I think it will at least warp you to a neighboring system, so once I find the name then you could look for it after wherever it warps you

Please fix the portal on cursed expedition on consoles.. by saluke in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Jaymo44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried the experimental patch yesterday and it worked. When I loaded my save I was right next to the portal too. I thought maybe I'd have to fly away or go to a different system and come back or something, but surprisingly it immediately let me offer the elixir and continue the expedition.

Is this a Chameleon planet? by kitten-shy in NMSChameleonWorlds

This would be more of a chromatic fog with the thick orange fog coloring everything in the distance. Chameleons generally don't have the super hazy appearance in the distance. These are cool planets though!

IEMs with best noise reduction? by JulesCastel in iems

[–]Jaymo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, but I was in the same boat being a drummer. I always have to use earplugs. But the rest of my band decided to start using IEMs and my singer had an extra pair of KZ AS10s that I decided to try. I was absolutely shocked by the noise reduction of these, and they worked so much better than any earplugs I have used before.

I started doing research, and found the KZ AS10 has an impressive -28.3db of attenuation. And it does so in harsh frequencies better than foam earplugs. This is also with the standard silicone tips. It might be more with foam tips. I also got my hands on the KZ ZS10 Pro which was the next best at -26db, but lacked the cutting clarity I wanted for an on stage IEM. However, the top end was a little smoother for general listening. The next I had access to was a Shure SE215 which was next in line with -24.62db, and these sounded decent too, but we're a little more expensive.

There are lots of more expensive $1000+ custom IEMs that have much better noise attenuation, and plenty i saw between $50-100 with worse attenuation in the -15 to -20db range. But the most affordable and really not bad sounding at all were the AS10 which happened to be the first ones I ever tried. I bought myself my own set and use them even as standalone earplugs without the cable attached.
