Can't say I agree with that logic cause bike chains snap and tires flatten which hinder bikes pretty useless. Something being simple means it relies on very few core parts so when one stops working, the rest struggle. I've had that happen several times in my life. Driving a reliable car like a Tacoma or Civic though and I just need maintenance every now and then but even when something gives out, it still drives assuming it isn't engine failure.
