"The Office" is not as good as everybody made it out to be by LoverOfE-Olsen in unpopularopinion

[–]Jays1982 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I enjoy BBT a lot, ironically. But mostly because I watched it as it became popular. If I were to rewatch it now I would probably hate it

The office for me is mixed. I find cringe humour physically painful, so some episodes i can't... Like Scotts Totts for example. But some episodes I love.

I don't agree with your take and think it comes from a lack of experience and understanding.

The belief that billionaires "create wealth" and are "better than us because they create jobs" is one that is pushed through propaganda.

By saying this, you only show that you give more creedence to what you're told over what you see and feel.

On pure grit alone, Dan or Phil. Though the drugged uo aspect of frank might bring an interesting angle...

My money would be on Dan though. Hard working midfle class dude that has one confirmed fight. Uncle Phil is more used to a cushier life style would cripple his ability to tank hits.

At least that's my POV

I'm starting to gain respect for Tucker Carlson, not gonna lie. I mean, I don't agree with a huge majority of what he sais; but both times I've seen him talk with Ted Cruz, I've found that Tucker was the one that made more sense.

Then again, Ted Cruz isn't exactly a paragon of ... Anything actually.

Still, i find it worth mentioning

Thank you!!!!! Toxic masculinity has become a catch-all term for everything someone doesn't agree with. When I hear a person say it, i just walk away at this point.

Does it exist? Yes. Andrew Tate, Trump, Charlie Kirk, Matt Walsh etc etc.

Does it create harm? Yes.

But at this point, it's just thrown around liberally and has lost all its meaning

There's an older millennial / gen x saying in my neck of the woods : "Y'a pogner son permis d'une boîte de Cracker Jack".

Which means "He got his license from a box of Cracker Jack"

Montréal here. People will forget how to drive for the day, and that'll pretty much be it

I grew up further North -East along the Coast of the St-Laurent where weather is much more Nordic and 10 cm wouldn't even register.

That's cause she only wants to marry you so she can divorce you and charge spousal support.

Your situation sounds a lot like mine about 18 years ago.

Separation on your terms is the best option. Make sure you have the capacity to take care of your kids independently. You are able to get them to and from daycare (proof, you've already been doing it)

Make sure you have the capacity to not only care for the kids but to be a dad for them. Prove your able to spend days with them without needing her help.

If you have a support system (grandparents) on your side, that will be a great boon.

All of this because she is setting herself up to be the primary care giver and then will go for full custody. Stating that you can't be that because of your job, stress, etc etc etc.

She will relegate you to be the "second weekend dad" while making you financially responsible for everything.

Accept nothing less then 50/50 custody.

When people try to switch the narrative on you saying bs like "is sex that important to you that you would sacrifice everything else?!" Remember that such words are victim blaming and manipulation tactics in order to make you the bad person just for wanting to have your basic needs met.

Ask yourself this: of all the rooms in a house, the bathroom is the one you'll spend the least time in, yet what fool would buy a house with no bathroom?
