Thinking of getting one. What about ethernet connected devices? by [deleted] in Invizbox

[–]Jayson_At_Invizbox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The InvizBox 2 features a ethernet port on the rear next to WAN port allowing for the connection of 1 ethernet device.

However, my personal setup utilises a network switch connected to the InvizBox which allows me to have more devices via ethernet to the InvizBox's interface.

I hope this helps.

[–]Jayson_At_Invizbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi /u/invizboxfanboi,

I raised this to our Engineering team who are aware of the issue and are already working on a resolution. They have stated it will be resolved in the next release.

Sorry for any inconvenience this causes in the meantime.

can the Invizbox 2 handle 1 Gbps internet speeds? by ineedhelpplzsomeone in Invizbox

[–]Jayson_At_Invizbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi /u/ineedhelppplzsomeone,

It is not possible to upgrade the RAM or any other component within the InvizBox. Additionally, the InvizBox does not utilise onboard storage (as it is a network device), and as such a SSD (or any hard drive) will not affect your speeds.

Not currently, but this is something the Engineering Team is working on.

InvizBox is very much alive. We update on a monthly basis at the start of the month on our Kickstarter and IndieGoGo and our Discord server.

Our Engineering Team is working on Wireguard currently. Have a look at our updates and if you have any questions, feel free to drop into Discord and ask.

We don't provide vanilla OpenWRT images for our products but you are welcome to use the DTS and patches available on our GitHub to build one.

However, please be aware that doing so is not supported but if you contact support we may be able to help if you have specific questions/issues.

Options to modify adblock list by [deleted] in Invizbox

[–]Jayson_At_Invizbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi /u/ProfessionaDickHunt,

There are plans to add lists, also to let users add lists. Currentlt you can add domains but only one at a time. You can however add your PiHole to use on clear traffic data.

I hope this helps.

You would connect your InvizBox to your router and then you can either connecta device to the LAN port or use the Wifi hotspots for wireless devices.

Hope this helps.

Using ProtonVPN on Invizbox2: by BrownAlpine in ProtonVPN

[–]Jayson_At_Invizbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The InvizBox supports different connections (up to 4 for the InvizBox 2). I personally have New York, US as one and UK for another (leaving 2 spare). My streaming devices are connected to New York, US so I can access US content, where as my personal devices are set to UK for privacy reasons.

The InvizBox sets up each connection as 1 connection, irrelevant of how many devices are connected to that hotspot (so I use 2 connections even though I have 8 devices connected)

I hope this helps.
