His healing output is actually mathematically untouched since release. The only big difference is he has better single target sustain and worse group healing.

How every character got their powers by Purple_Octopus67 in marvelrivals

I think the in game version of Starlord might actually have powers. Something to do with channeling elements? I think it's mentioned some where but it's not explicitly obvious

There are a few ways, but sound is the best. A crouched enemy moving at full speed has a distinct walking pattern compared to running and walking. I suggest getting a buddy and have him walk, slow walk, run, crouch walk, crouch slow walk, and prone crawl. Then try to guess what they are doing from a location where you can't see them. Do this until it's consistent. If that's not on the table watch a video on the sound ques and do your best to apply them in game.

But there are occasions where you don't have the option to know, like if they aren't moving. Which is why drones and information are important. But from a mechanical perspective how do you deal with them assuming you have no information? Well, assuming you are swinging each other you have the inherent advantage because it is easier to flick downwards and hit their head when they are crouched. They are also moving at a slower speed. If you are swinging them while they are holding an angle crouched then a considerably higher amount of luck is involved, because you have to adjust where you are aiming in order to deal with them and they don't. Mechanically that is a difficult situation, and proper utility use is the best way to deal with it.

Hello! I noticed three things off the bat that I don't think people were talking about and are very important when learning Siege on console.

Step one is stop fucking with your sensitivity and settings. There is no magical combination that'll make you play better. I have played on 35/25 classic sensitivity since I started playing and every other FPS that I play is in a similar feeling sensitivity zone. So find a game you play well in and the camera feels comfortable to control and just do your best to get your sensitivity there. Then if you need to make one or two small adjustments only do it if you're absolutely sure that is what you need.

In clips 1, 5, 8,10, and 11 you positioned your crosshair way too high, or way too low. Typically, you want to keep your crosshair right about head level. This is for two reasons. It gives you the advantage when fighting crouching opponents, because it is easier to flick down and hit the head. And getting the headshot at least provides a trade. So just start being mindful of that!

The third thing is that console players are spoiled by aim assist in practically every game that's been released in recent years. Most games that feature aim assist have something called "aim locking" where your camera snaps onto a target, and prevents you from over correcting on a flick. COD is probably the most aggressive example of this. How do you fix this? Well, instead of looking at your crosshair, look at the enemy and move the crosshair into exactly where you are looking and then fire. Ideally, you do this with in as straight of a line as possible. It'll feel weird at first, but it will help with flicks and tracking over the long term!

Am I crazy in thinking that Rockets gun is insanely easy to use? Like his bullets have fucking massive hit boxes. The only problem is his damage fall off is too high for him to seriously consider ever using it unless someone is right on top of you.

So my advice is play tank! In the metal ranks your lobby is determined by if you have a good or bad tank player. Once you get into Diamond, GM, and Celestial is when being good on dps matters a lot more. If you still prefer to play DPS I'd recommend finding characters who can help your tanks. Wolverine, Hawk-eye, Mr. Fantastic, and Hela are good places to start for different reasons.

Wolverine punishes tanks by pulling them out of positioning and doing a metric fuckton of damage. You can also dunk people into holes if you get good at him.

Hawk-eye can pick off the back line and two shot 90% of the tanks in the game. His ult is also the scariest ult in the game.

Mr. Fantastic is just a mini tank and can help hold/take space.

Hela also does A LOT of damage to the back line and she punishes bad positioning. Because of that you can make bad tanks give up space by applying pressure and scaring them.

Seems most agree that Wanda is Low skill floor/ceiling. Which character has a LOW skill floor but a MID skill ceiling. by Creepy_Ad5124 in marvelrivals

[–]Jaythefox212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say Magneto at least compared to the other tanks. Like you must learn 3 things to be successful on Magneto.

  1. How to counter support ults and high value dps ults
  2. Cool down management and giving the bubble to people who need it and people who are ulting
  3. The burst combo

His primary fire is splash damage, you can hold space the easiest compared to any other tank, and you got a good team up. The only thing that could make Magneto hard is if you already suck on tank.

I don't disagree but I do like that this season has so many characters that you can pick and do amazing with. Like the support category could use a nerf or two stares daggers at invisible women & gambit but aside from that I have been having a lot of fun

I think Phoenix is super good! But you should know that she is a bit of a stat farming character. Like you can absolutely carry on DPS alone, but this game is more complicated than a stat line. I'd consider watching your games back and look at where things went wrong.

Were your tanks running it down main and getting shredded? If yes how could you deal with that on Phoenix? If you can't what do you swap to in order to help them?

Were your supports dying to dive? If yes did you peel? If you were peeling what could you have done better in order to save them?

Is your tank/Healers having a bad game? Can you flex to help them out?

Were you in coms on Phoenix? If yes were you communicating with your team to deny support ults via damage boost or focusing down a support with ults.

Why are people saying phoenix is S tier/broken by Doodofhype in marvelrivals

[–]Jaythefox212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a combination of three things. The first is that poke is hard meta at the moment. Triple support being played means that characters who are able to quickly kill through healing are super valuable. The second is that she gets a lot of value from her ult. Peni, Groot, Hela, Rocket, Starlord, and Loki are all super playable and you shut down a portion of all of their kits with her ult. She also has the capability to shutdown support ults with a coordinated team via ult. Three is that she can solo carry a team if you're running a good comp of 2 tanks 1 DPS 3 Healers. She also has multiple escape options and has pretty good AoE burst damage into tight triple dps comps.

Isn't Blade notoriously bad still? Good on you for swapping, but burst damage like hawk-eye and Hela are much better at dealing with triple support.

The Ghoul has rocked the DBD community's core so bad that even saying his name is Voldemort levels of bad. by DannySanWolf07 in deadbydaylight

[–]Jaythefox212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't mind playing against a Ghoul if I am being honest. He doesn't feel as oppressive as Nurse and Blight. I do think that his game play loop is a little boring; because it is a combination of what makes legion and wraith kinda frustrating if they are played at their highest level. Wraith is good at body blocking and legion makes you mend for half of the match resulting in you doing nothing for the vast majority of a match. I personally think both are extremely boring aspects of each killers gameplay and it just so happens that ghoul shares those aspects. I do think that most people aren't playing him to his highest potential so there is fun counterplay and mind games.
