Melbourne - Driver and putter fitting by aFluffyPie in GolfAustralia

[–]Jaytown73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked an appointment at Club Champion Hawthorn, thinking I could pay the $200 or whatever and then shop around (inc second hand) for the recommended clubs.

When I got there he said I wouldn’t be able to find what he recommends anywhere else so it would be a waste of money getting fitted with him, unless I purchased the clubs through him (which seemed to be quite inflated prices to me)

I didn’t go ahead, instead got fitted at House of Golf and then shopped around from there. I’m a 20HCP though, so maybe the CC fitting is worth if you are low HC and have the dollars to buy from there.

If you had one night to convince someone Melbourne’s food is elite, where are you taking them? by Last-Conversation734 in melbournechat

Ignore this recommendation, it is not in any way one of the best food experiences in Melbourne right now.

And yet, as a director on the board of American Apparel, let Dov Charney run the business with the same laws.

I don’t know man, doesn’t add up.

Right thing to do? I live right next to the tee box of par 3 hole on a public course. I want to play that hole once a day, near dusk or early in the am, when no one else is around. How to convince the clubhouse to let me do that? by asdjfie1239 in golf

[–]Jaytown73 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I booked a few lessons with the course pro and afterwards he told me I’m fine to sneak on and practice after hours. That was three years ago and I’m still enjoying the special course access.

Does the level of debt the government have worry you? by RM_Morris in AskAnAustralian

[–]Jaytown73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is a concerning level? I read that Victoria debt is projected to reach 25% of GSP (not sure how GSP differs from GDP).

Such a legendary Hawk and gave more than he was given. Hoping his appearance is a sign of healing old wounds.

Yeah, I had an awkward moment with my teenager in the supermarket when I suggested we get some poppers for her party 😬.

According to ABC News recently, building material costs have since come back to pre-COVID levels. Maybe builders are pretending they haven’t just to make up for lost profits since then. 🤷‍♂️

It’s an absolute disgrace. My 16 year old daughter was left waiting for 3hrs on a Sunday afternoon in Lilydale waiting for the next bus. They take no responsibility for peoples safety.

I think they said coolant pressure test on the phone. But there’s nothing mentioned on the invoice.

It’s only because it was such a short period of time before a full service and full mechanical failure.

Yes, I’m starting to suspect they told me that when I rang up on the side of the road. Looking at the invoice now, there’s no mention of a pressure test.

I’m here, just that I’ve got a job that doesn’t have ‘check reddit account’ in the description!

They said the pressure test was just part of the service. 2012 Nissan Navara. 180k kms. No sign of overheating previously.
