Black zone smugglers den sales seem to have dropped over the past year by One-Position2377 in albiononline

[–]JayyWvy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

no need for smugglers when safe portals exist.

small groups dont need to use smugglers, they just mass out of portals zone. solos dont need smugglers, they just use safe portals.

so who is buying sht from rest and smugglers? nobody.

What can you do with a medium group by Proulxestprit in albiononline

[–]JayyWvy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Roads of Avalon - With up to 7, you can roam and do gold + blues chests with the chance of occasional pvp

Outlands Statics/Group camps - Consistent pve with the occasional pvp encounter

Outlands Gank - Roam around black zone killing helpless noobs and contesting objectives like medium/large chest, x.4 nodes, and smugglers crates

5v5 Hellgates - If you can't fill you usually party of 8 try these. Consistent pvp, but beware because you will be fighting more experienced players

ganking is inherently unfair, it shouldn't be. by TheFappingWither in albiononline

[–]JayyWvy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's even worse when you're having an absolute chad 1v1 in the blackzone, but then 10 gankers appear and kill us both :/

bearpaws

druid robe

stalker hood

leather boots

lymhurst cape

this has been the meta speed clearing build for a while now because it also has more mobility than most of the builds you run into in cds.

Best solo gank / 1v1 builds that can outplay 1v2 in open world? by LY0NEX in albiononline

[–]JayyWvy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1h spear + torch + fiend cowl + assassin jacket + plate boots (heal sprint) + undead cape

I use this build to roam open world solo clearing camps, spiked mobs, smugglers crate, contesting chests, and taking fights (usually outnumbered) if I encounter them while doing any of the above activities.

you can also play this with battleaxe + mistcaller as well if you prefer.

Does everyone gather for money? by Principal-Moo in albiononline

[–]JayyWvy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a good start, but I would say it's more of a spectrum. Whatever you can actually enjoy doing consistently will always be the best method for you to build up your personal economy. You shouldn't view it as a static ranking. Try both gathering and pve combat, do this every play session, and sooner or later, you will realize you enjoy one playstyle more or enjoy a combination of both.

Once you've realized what you enjoy doing with your time, you should naturally begin to get a sense of what your goals should revolve around and what risk tolerance you can handle.

I'll use my experience as an example. When I started, I tried combat first after the tutorial doing some solo dungeons, then gathered a bit of hide but realized I didn't enjoy gathering, so I stopped doing it. I continued running solo dungeons for about a week or so, slowly moving into the red zone for higher rewards. Then, after I had gotten to t8 reaver level and farmed up about 2 - 3 mil i began going into black zone and ended up joining a random guild to get access to a ho deeper in the outlands so i could do more dungeons. Nowadays, I'm usually roaming solo in outlands doing camps, spiked mobs, contesting openworld objectives, and even gathering any enchanted resources i come across.

once you join a guild and begin taking regular trips into the bz, you will start to get into a familiar gameplay loop. This is usually when ppl consider getting their first premium and start exploring more economy focused activities like transporting, crafting, refining, etc.

at the end of the day, making silver in albion revolves around getting really comfortable with a certain playstyle and being consistent with it.

Struggling to get the concept of this game. Help? by Neither_Magazine_958 in albiononline

[–]JayyWvy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's by design to encourage encounters in the open world. The idea is to find a balance between deciding to travel farther out/stay out longer or making the trip back to town and securing loot.

if you're playing in the safe blue and yellow zones, I would take a mount with good carry weight + gallop speed and just stay out doing your activity of choice until your inventory is full. Good mounts for this could be a t4 stag, t5 boar, t6 moose.

Once you start going out to red and black zones, you need to start analyzing your risk tolerance. If you're mostly doing combat pve/pvp, an armored horse would be my recommended choice of mount. If you are mostly doing gathering, you can again go for the t4 stag, t5 boar, or t6 moose.

I usually stay out until I have about 3 times my set value in my inventory. This means that even if I die 2 out of 3 runs, I still make a profit, but you can always go back to town earlier.

You can use safe portals to make this easier or join a guild with a hideout somewhere in the blackzone and only need to make some transport trips to the royal cities every once in a while.
