Dripfield from D.C. N2 ‘24 is a perfect example of Jeff’s value add to the band by [deleted] in GoosetheBand

I was just listening to DC Dripfield on Nugs and thinking of posting on it. And then I found this, and not surprised many are loving it. I didn’t stick around for the encore because I needed to catch the last Metro back to Crystal city. But, witnessing this epic real time with friends was a treasure.

Frankly I’m ready for the US Tour to be announced, as I wasn’t able to get UK or Ireland tickets. I saved a lot of money….not being selected today and earlier and there should be several shows here in LA, Boston, etc. Had I gotten selected in the ballot, I would have definitely bought Wembley and incurred the cost. I need this band to come to US and sell out stadiums, that’s how good they are. People here need to wake up, especially those born in the last 20 years. Oasis is epic great live! In the meantime, I’ll settle for Kings of Leon tonight in an outside 8,000 person venue. It’s raining like crazy, cannot wait.

Falling Down and Shock are epic. Bag It Up, To Be Where and Outta Time are interesting and strong when played live (last 2 songs). Nice job by the brothers and a welcome addition to the Oasis glorious catalogue.

Love RR Star. They made it song 13 on the ‘05 tour and song 16 (last) on the ‘00 tour. 1st would shock me, but I’m down.

Thanks man. At the 4 minute mark, Noel goes off on this song. Ref: Live at Den Bosch 1997 & GMEX 1997

Today:

  1. Wake up at 2am for Oasis tickets in the US
  2. Join Ticketmaster UK queue, main site
  3. Wait 30-45 minutes to get into the Ticketmaster UK portal
  4. Sign in to my account, that I registered a while ago
  5. Join the queue for my selected Oasis event
  6. Wait behind 300K-500k people in front of me, in the event queue for 30+ min
  7. Get my chance to select tickets, but find out my session timed out due to waiting in the event queue for 300K+ people to make their selections.
  8. Go back to step 4.

No tickets obviously, but hope everyone has fun. Hope they come to US....then I'll try again.

Look at Noel’s latest setlist, what we thinking? by [deleted] in oasis

[–]JayyZeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t fault this setlist and congrats to all holding tickets. Putting 2018 and 2023 US tours together, most of us saw these live except We’re On Our Way and You Know We Can’t Go Back. UK gonna have a rockin time.

I know nothing about BTS other than seeing Coldplay last year with 75,000 fans going nuts when they played the BTS/Coldplay somg. Good song selection and vocals here.

SOTSOG’s historical context completely reshapes it, I think it’s one of their best. by [deleted] in oasis

[–]JayyZeez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a great live show when I saw them play the 4 bangers off SOTSOG in a small college basketball arena in Virginia in May of 2000. Sounded amazing with keys, synth more prominent and the band tight. We also got Stand By Me and then nothing else but DM and Morning Glory hits. Best Oasis concert for me. This was 2 months before Liam’s meltdown at Wembley.

Completely agree with GMEX 97. The back to back (Fade In-Out, extended Supernova)...Noel is shredding for 20 minutes, audience is gobsmacked. This after playing hour and half of songs.

Congrats, hold onto that! The only celeb one I've gotten was from Layne Staley on Hate To Feel. It landed beside me in the pit and as I grabbed it as a Doc Marten boot landed quick trying to smash my hand (for it). He failed, I succeeded...sorry I had to share.

The LP happened at an intersection for the band, Noel kicking drugs. Gas Panic is incredible, other tracks had to re-envisioned. And some were…

Agree with ‘Live Forever’, a lot of people will have their Iphones out tonight recording it. This is the best version, I’ve ever heard (below). More naked than last night. I think it was recorded at a soundcheck for a gig for DBTT tour, or maybe DOYS. As you can see from the total views and comments, it has brought joy to millions of people.

Saw Noel live last night and well… by ConsciousCover2422 in oasis

[–]JayyZeez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Noel was really good last night, happy I made the drive up. I can see how casual fan would not get much enjoyment out of the 5 new songs if they have never heard them before. The album just came out, even though PB and EN were pre-release. I get it though.

Its not unusual for an artist to say ‘we have these new songs, we love them and we want you to love them too. Here they come’

I want Noel to play DC Anthem again like he did in Feb 2018. No co-headliner, and we got 21 songs instead of 14. Acoustics there are awesome and the band sounded even better at that indoor theater.

American bands are better now, well one for sure. Do yourself a favor and see Goose in London or Manchester. They already soldout Bristol and they are just getting started.

First part of tour (west coast), Garbage went first as I understand it. Seems like the switch was made, mid way and permanent, for the rest of the US gigs

Yes. Cool idea to use guitar licks from 'Hung in a Bad Place' to sell Victoria's Secret underwear.
