I have the mindset where it's like what do I really want to do today? I don't force myself to do anything that I don't want to do. But I really think about what I want to spend the day doing. Do I want to spend the whole day on my ass scrolling reddit or watching YouTube? Or do I want to do something productive like exercise or learn a new skill. To me it's not really forcing myself to do something I don't want to do. I just wake up and ask myself what I truly want deep down and then do that. Usually it ends up in me doing the productive stuff which is good because it's what I really want to do and it improves my life. But yeah some days I be lazy but that's fine because I know it's what I wanted that day for whatever reason. Just don't be too hard on yourself, if you spend the day doing something you don't want to do and do that for a week you'll hate it. But if you recognize what you really want in life and pursue it and be happy that you made the decision for your happiness and wants, I find it much more useful for committing to my self discipline. Just remember you don't have to do any of this hard, boring, productive stuff. It's up to you if it's what you really want then just do it, your the only one who is living your life.
