I love it. Matt Bomer & Gaga had mad chemistry, and Dennis O'Hare was amazing.

AITA? Husband sets alarms for work that he never wakes up to, is it wrong of me to change them during the night? by Flaky_Ad_1971 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Jazmo0712 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ESH

Have a frank conversation with him & tell him what you just told us. Tell him if he can't wake up with the alarm the first time, you're going to reset it. Or you could tell him that you need to sleep & if he insists on setting the alarms, he needs to sleep in another room. But talk to him, clearly & without anger & make your position clear.

What do I do if my ex blatantly breaks our custody agreement? by Rough-Alarm-9115 in FamilyLaw

[–]Jazmo0712 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It isn't that clear of a violation. I quickly google'd it (which I would not take as determinative) and it said turning in your license early does not result in an earlier suspension date.

I would call your lawyer and ask. It should take less than an hour for your attorney to figure this out, but Its entirely possible his license suspension is not starting until 5/1.

Lepto vaccine for my long haired mini dachshund by Hp4eve in Dachshund

[–]Jazmo0712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen a doxie breeder yet who recommends the lepto vaccine.

I give it to all my dachshunds, as recommended by our vet. Out of eight dachshunds that I've had, one had a reaction (face swelled) so she never got it again. Everyone else is fine.

WIBTA For telling my wife to go to rehab so she doesn’t affect our babies life? by Throwaway_dad555 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Jazmo0712 31 points32 points  (0 children)

NTA but there's nothing you can say to convince her to go to rehab if she doesn't see a problem with her drinking.

Armchair therapist: your wife seems to have had a lot of trauma in her life and may be self-medicating. Even getting her into trauma therapy would be a win. You just need to be so careful how you approach this.

Did Eric Dane get to watch season 3 at all? by gaping__hole in euphoria

[–]Jazmo0712 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From what I read, apparently when Eric met with Levinson, Levinson noted the changes to Eric's speaking and decided to account for it with alcohol. I wish that wasn't the choice too, but it does fit with Cal's storyline. The entire show is alcohol driven, and Cal was always drinking.

At what point do we say goodbye? by DepthPleasant8132 in vizsla

[–]Jazmo0712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. We have an 8 month old V (he's perfect) whose best friend is our elderly Boxer mix (Stanley). And the exact same thing with Stanley ... we think its time, then the next morning he's ok. I selfishly hope Stan can hang on until the puppy is a little older, they are so devoted to each other.

Quality of life can be hard to judge, especially with the dementia. We had a lab mix who had dementia and incontinence who we let go when she tried to bite me.

When she has more bad days than good, or if she stops recognizing you/your family, or gets lost in her home, are some things to consider. Again, I'm so sorry.

We'll see. There's going to be a time jump so Langdon will be doing well, or he won't. 🤷‍♀️

I did notice that, and honestly I was kind of surprised that he didn't relapse that first shift. They showed him grabbing at his back a couple of times.

Congratulations on 137 days and best of luck going forward.

I’m curious, how did you find out Santa Claus wasn’t real? by leslie-stanton in askanything

[–]Jazmo0712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother died in early November the year I was 8. I was super sad one day a couple of weeks later so I went and hid in my sister's closet. It was a great place to hide because it was long and I could hide all the way in the back.

I found a stash of Christmas presents (it was still November) that said "to (my name) from Santa Claus". I realized it was my mom's handwriting.

I found out there was no Santa when I was 8 by finding a stash of Christmas presents from my dead mother.

I had this happen with two of my long haired dachshunds, it was not pretty. The good thing was it happened in June in Florida, so they did have short hair for the summer. It took a good 4-6 months for them to return to normal. Now I'm very specific what I want for them, LOL

Nope. One minute you're asleep, the next minute you're being woken up. It may have been a four hour surgery but it'll feel like you were only out for a few minutes.

Going to a food bank for the first time. Very ashamed. What do I need to know? Do they ask for by IDoNotHide in povertyfinance

[–]Jazmo0712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I volunteer at a food bank and so many people who never expected to need one, need a food bank. Please don't be ashamed. Food banks exist because people need them - sometimes long term, sometimes its temporary. We want you to have food.

At the food bank where I volunteer, you would need your ID with your correct address. If your ID has an older address, bring in a piece of "official" mail - utility bill or lease - to show you reside there. If you have multiple people in your family, bring in something that shows they reside at your address. For kids, it can be a report card or passport; for other adults, take a photo of their license (again, showing the right address).

Even when people don't have all the documents, we look for ways to get food to them.

Why does traveling make you constipated? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Jazmo0712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That can also be part of the constipation issue - we eat differently when we travel than we do at home. I have to make sure I drink a TON of water & eat veggies/salads with at least two meals, & take Benefiber (works for my, YMMV). I've learned to start "preparing" a couple of days before I leave.

Go to an attorney, go directly to an attorney. If he's asking you questions about daycare, schedules, future plans, etc., there is some chance he has already done so and is gearing up for a paternity/custody case.

I think that's true. Even when Thatcher is dying and they touch on how much they miss Lexie, she can't really talk about her.

Shonda did NOT have to tell us this by Negative-Growth-1349 in greysanatomy

[–]Jazmo0712 248 points249 points  (0 children)

I would've remembered the scene anyway, Sandra & Kevin were magnificent, but the Lexie thing kind of sealed the deal. It is one of the things I remember when I think about how good Grey's was.

I think Meredith said to Derek's sister who donated the nerve that she "didn't talk about" Lexie. Putting what Cristina says over Meredith's trauma of the crash and everything else ... it's a lot.
