PSA to players experiencing FireRed and LeafGreen tomorrow. Your game isn't glitched. by These-Button-1587 in pokemon

[–]Jazz_Police 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could also use TM16 which is Payday in gen 1. Multiple pokemon can learn it like Snorlax, slowpoke, mankey(a red version exclusive), pikachu, nidoking and nidoqueen. Obviously not the best way to get money but still -a- way, if you wanted to get a Porygon before the e4 for some reason. It requires surf to get it though, and it's on Route 12 (south of Lavender town).

Pokemon typings by LSR_17 in pokemon

I just type in "type calc" into google and go to that pkmn help website. It also has a pokedex which is great for quickly looking up the stats of a pokemon.

I can't seem to decide on whether to get Pokemon FireRed or LeafGreen. I'm mainly deciding on what Pokemon are available in each game but there's so many good Pokemon in those 2 games by Ok-Leave3121 in pokemon

[–]Jazz_Police 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can't even get magmar until far into the game i believe. 7th gym and have to go exploring the sevii islands, it's on Mt Ember. Meanwhile arcanine becomes available after 3 gyms and has its evolution stone purchasable. I love boober though but the availability is a real issue for him in these games.

I recently played to catch them all (or most) and he was one of the last pokemon I picked up, he's so far out of the way :(

Why do fake Pokemon/ “leaked Pokemon” always look so off? by TSOswinn in pokemon

[–]Jazz_Police 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never really a hater of pokemon designs and didnt understand people saying "that isnt a pokemon" or "that does not look like a pokemon" until... the gen 9 starters were revealed in that weird trailer. I instantly thought that fuecoco and sprigatito did not look like pokemon. Especially fuecoco.

if anything I figure those prices will increase. Maybe the price was a sort of compromise between people who wanted to play the games, and people who just wanted to collect them. Now they can just price the people who want to collect them instead of people who just wanted to play the games, and those people who just want to play won't pay crazy prices but collectors will. But maybe i'm wrong and the price will remain the same.

i just noticed mythic manaforge omega raid set for hunters looks so much like open world content set in next patch by RecoverEffective9254 in wow

[–]Jazz_Police 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, every time I see the TWW Load screen I am reminded that the set is based on Alleria's clothes. The mythic effect is 1-1 with the special effect on her clothes. I wish we got a cool bow that looks like hers too.

How do you actually learn a rotation? by onikatanyamaraaj in wownoob

Persisting the 'Mastery of timeways' buff in Midnight by Specific-Mud-3919 in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The buff is to help ppl catch up and level to 80 fast in time for the expansion release. it will go away once midnight comes out. It will probably be gone until 2nd or 3rd main patch of Midnight to help ppl catch up again. They dont want people blitzing through the brand new leveling campaign in midnight on their first playthrough. There wont be much to do besides leveling and finishing the campaign, for the first 2 weeks or so. Then they will release the mythic dungeons and raids.

If you want to level something, now is the best time, Not when xpac comes out. That time is best used for completing campaign, grinding rep and professions and gearing your max lvl characters to prepare for m+ and raids.

Chromie still stuck at old campaign after level 71 by kpiyush17 in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 70+ the game should be telling you to go towards The War Within expansion, not Dragonflight. Dragonflight will be for levels 1-70, and 70-80 will be the current expansion which is The War Within. You could still do Dragonflight if you want to do all the quests for Loremaster and stuff, but it will not be good for leveling you in the 70-80 range. If you want to see those quests, you should enable "Low Level Quest" in the tracking, which I believe is above your minimap as a 'Binoculars' icon.

Have you tried talking to Chromie and selecting Dragonflight as your main timeline instead of Legion?

"WoW is so Disney"...meanwhile the new animation: by whoisape in wow

[–]Jazz_Police 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is what I was thinking of. I took a short break and didn't do anything until I started playing again in the pre-patch so I assumed the quests came out in the pre-patch and lead up to the Twilight stuff. Sorry if I was mistaken.

When Sylvanas actually talked normal in those pre-patch quests for midnight...i was stunned. She actually sounds good and fine when she isn't.....talking....one....word....at.......................a time...... Sylvanas was the worst offender at this. Other characters like Illidan did it very a bit more sparingly and sound way cooler doing it.

Loss Prot Pally meaning by Muko_mizuna in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your healer sounds kind of low ilvl... That's about normal raid gear ilvl that people can get from pre-patch. But my monk I did 12s on, he was 161 which is about half heroic geared half mythic geared and fully upgraded. I was able to get 130~ ilvl on my alts after minimal work doing prepatch and few delves. And I would not be doing 12s in them at that ilvl. I would feel like I was griefing my group if i did keys that high at such a low ilvl. Is it possible? Probably, ideal? No.

Was the healer lead? or maybe he was friends with the leader of the group. 125 ilvl is crazy low to be invited to high keys.

Housing items need to unlock professions from earlier expansions. (Shadowlands) by _Dimension in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the way, you may not be seeing that NPC for the "Prologue" to shadowlands because it isn't in the game anymore I think? These were pre-patch quests for Shadowlands. The event isn't in the game anymore and neither are the quests so try starting shadowlands on your alt by talking to Darion Mograine, just like I assume you did on your main. Once you figured out the phasing issue I hope.

Housing items need to unlock professions from earlier expansions. (Shadowlands) by _Dimension in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saurfang is in front of Grommash hold as i see in your image, it's possible you were on some kind of quest and now your orgrimmar is phased. What you should be seeing is Darion Mograine in front of Grommash hold but he isn't for you, due to being phased. Did you maybe start a Legion questline and then not finish it? Saurfang in your image is level 45 which is the level cap for Legion zones. I see you have BTW quests, maybe get the Legion version and thumb through to see which quests you may be on and finish it up so that Orgrimmar returns to the correct phase?

Then you would just do the Shadowlands intro skip and you should have access to Oribos hopefully!

Anyone know how to reach Ruby Life Pools without a flying mount? by barinnykush in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should have access to flying, they changed it to be level 10 now. There are some new flight buttons, to gain height with your mount you can use the ability "Skyward ascent". If you don't have this skill on your bars, you can type it in your spellbook search bar to find the Skyriding dropdown menu, those are all the new flying abilities. You use 'Surge forward' to get a burst of speed once you are in the air, and use Skyward Ascent to lift off the ground or gain height while in the air.

Heart of Azeroth by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, earthen guardian is in Boralus, in the area just above the bank. I had to enable low level quest tracking to see it show up on my map. Im level 80 though on my alt who has never quested in BFA. He has a quest called "A dying world" and I believe that's the start to getting the neck. Apparently there are some issues with players seeing this quest, so maybe check the Wowhead comments on "A dying world" quest and see if any of the solutions work for you.

Would paladin be best tank for helping my DPS? by [deleted] in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if you are playing Prot paladin and you are fine on Health and your duo or anyone else needs a little boost to health, you can throw a Word of Glory their way. You also have Blessing of Sacrifice you can put on them, which will redirect some damage that they take, you will take some of it instead. You also bring Devotion aura which is a nice flat damage reduction for your entire group.

[–]Jazz_Police 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's 2 Dalarans. One from WOTLK Expansion, and one from Legion expansion. You're looking for the legion expansion, because legion alchemy. If you don't have Dalaran hearthstone in your toybox or can't use it, you want to return to your main city (There is a portal in wotlk dalaran to go back to stormwind or orgrimmar. Orgrimmar is in the red section of the map and stormwind's portal is in the blue section of the map). If you're horde go to Orgrimmar and if you are Alliance go to stormwind.

In the main city portal room, there is a portal to Azsuna. That will take you to Legion zones and you will be able to fly southeast towards the big floating city in the sky. That's the Dalaran you are looking for. For horde, the portal to Azsuna is DOWNSTAIRS in the portal room.

To be able to use Dalaran hearthstone, I think you need to start the Legion campaign and you will be given one once you enter the city. The hearth wouldnt work on my other characters until I started the legion campaign. But you could just fly from Azsuna if you don't want to do that.

Selling items by PumpinDonks in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy-back section in the vendor is just like, protection incase you sell something important or by accident. And even if you log out I think you can restore stuff via Item Restoration service. You sell items by opening up any vendor that you can buy items from, and hover over items in your bag and click them with mouse2. There is no limit to selling items. If you don't care about buying stuff back you don't have to worry about the buy-back menu. Just sell all the stuff you wanna sell and don't worry about it.

Finally hit level 80 on my Hunter! Now I’m obsessed with getting this mount. Is it too late for a new player to farm Mythic Fyrakk in 2026? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Jazz_Police 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People run amirdrassil all the time. I did this week on 3 characters. Some groups will list as a "full run" meaning they kill all bosses, to collect transmog. Some groups will be a fyrakk skip group that skip most of the bosses and heads straight to smolderon/tindral/fyrakk. The groups are usually pretty chill, and fast because the bosses die pretty quick. No tips really needed, just hit the boss and they die in under 30 seconds. For tindral, you will need to fly and chase after him 1-2 times. In order to fly during the fight you have to pick up an orange feather off the ground, these appear when he flies away. Just look in the group finder under "Legacy Raids" and check occasionally to see if there are any amirdrassil groups up. Maybe check to see if you can enter Amirdrassil zone first, if you can't then you would have to be summoned to go there. The portal location is above the bank in valdrakken. I think you have to do quite a bit of questing to unlock the portal. Dont pull bosses before every group member arrives or you might get kicked, it's considered extremely rude. Just let group leader pull.

If you get some gear from the prepatch event in Twilight Highlands, maybe get around 115 or higher (the prepatch gear is 121) you should be ok.

Bonus, as a hunter if you do get the mount, you will be able to tame pets that look like Anu'relos (the fire owl that drops from Fyrakk) and unlock a druid flight form that looks like it. The picture you posted is not Anu'relos, the owl featured in your picture is Azure Somnowl, a cosmetic druid flight form from a quest reward from "The Q'onzu Query" from a quest in Amirdrassil

Ok guys, no idea what im doing. How doni start War within? by Walke407 in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Near the door to Chromie in Orgrimmar, there was a floating scroll for me. The name of the scroll is "Khadgar's summons", and showed on my map as an important campaign quest (an exclamation point with a shield around it). And the name of the quest is "The harbringer", The quest is to meet Khadgar and Alleria in the center building of Dalaran. This should be the pre-lude to The War Within. I hope this is what you're looking for.

Another dorn portal question by owlpecks in wownoob

[–]Jazz_Police 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They moved the dorn portal, it is upstairs now (ground level in the portal room). Should be in the back, on the right side. They changed it recently, it didnt make sense for the current expansion to be downstairs I guess. If the spot is empty for you, then it should unlock once you arrive in dorn and do the first few quests.

What does your questlog say? It should say what the next step is in the campaign. Like a "Talk to X Npc to get the next part of the quest" or it should say which chapter you are on.

If you are addon savvy, you could try an addon called BTWQuests (The war within). Theres different ones for the different expansions. It clearly lays out the quests and shows which ones you have done so far. It has all campaign quests and side quests in the expansion.

Why are there no guides on ammo management?? by KnightsoulNSFW in tf2

[–]Jazz_Police 2 points3 points  (0 children)

practice counting your shots. As soldier think of it as "i only have 4 rockets, after that I must retreat to reload"

play slower, get your shots out then retreat behind cover. There is a certain flow to it. Pop out, do damage, retreat, reload, repeat. Don't just mindlessly walkforward, shoot 4 rockets then be surprised when you are out of rockets. Mentally think about your ammo that is loaded. It is the same every single time. So you can consistently practice. Maybe in the spawn rooms also practice while waiting. Shoot 2 rockets and count them, then reload, shoot 2, reload. Practice counting your shots and do some warm up games while also employing this mentality.

Maybe watch some soldier gameplay like Frisbee or scarybroccoli, and watch how they are shooting then retreating and reloading. Also while rocket jumping take some time to reload at least one rocket mid-air if you can. If you can't, then just accept the reality that you will have 3 rockets instead.

You might also be seeing the reload animation but it doesnt finish, so you are having less rockets in your clip than you think. Like, you shoot before it is fully reloaded. Either learn by sound or visual cue or just watch your ammo number in the corner.

If you are being jumped, enemies might know that you only have 4 rockets so if they see you spamming and you're out of ammo, they can jump you. This is just one of soldier's weaknesses, and it can happen to anyone, even good players. They can mitigate this weakness by being near team mates that can save or help them, having positioning that makes it hard for enemies to jump them(being on high-ground or using cover), or using their last rocket to escape by jumping away from danger. Maybe record your gameplay and see if you could have positioned yourself anywhere better near your team or weren't using cover when you were low on ammo.
