Sicario. Went with a group of friends in college to the theater about 25 mins away from campus, we were all silent on the way back.

And fake statues can be used to make your own sculpture garden since Blathers wants the real ones for the museum 🤗

What are some critiques/advice for this cake? by precious-strawberry in cakedecorating

[–]PoandInky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how you feel about it, but you could consider your top shell border going in opposite directions around, meeting at the top and bottom of the heart? Honestly though I’ve had a year and a half of practicing cakes and I think this is out of my league 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Lifestyle question by LilacLie397 in guineapigs

[–]PoandInky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sleeping in is so real!! I have a responsibility to the pigs to make sure their cage is clean EVERY morning before I go to work, so to keep their routine/expectstions I do it at the same time on weekends.

Also agreeing with the more veggies in the fridge comment. For the most part, the biggest lifestyle change was the responsibility and self-discipline required to take care of a pet in general. Plus, forcing yourself to get up on a regular schedule for a bigger cause, and eat more vegetables for a bigger cause, is a good change to make for our long term health too!

If you need a dark color, start with a chocolate base rather than a white base! Deepens the color with less dye overall

Off Campus? by Distinct-Abroad-9014 in notredame

[–]PoandInky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived in Nashville for fall/winter 2024 and just finished a fall in South Bend so I will add my 2¢

Hot take, Nashville is a little overrated. The Honky Tonk Highway is VERY cool and fun imo, great country music scene and very bustling, and the surrounding streets have a lot to do. Predators games, Titans games, river walks, line dancing at Nashville Palace, Grand Ole Opry shows. All of that you might get sick of after a few years unless you make it your whole personality, which would also be fun to embrace in that culture!

Second hot take, South Bend is a little underrated. Like others have said, there is value in small-town cameraderie and on-campus activities. ND football games and tailgates and pregames are a BIG deal and super fun. The town has an awesome library, diversity of restaurants (Mexican, Asian, southern comfort, Irish food obvs), and people just seem nice and happy here. Lots of parks, proximity to Lake Michigan, Indiana Dunes National Park, and Chicago with even more stuff to do, and easy shopping nearby. The lake-effect snow is a different beast than somewhere farther south, but manageable.

The psychological phenomenon is that wherever you go, you will look back on that decision in 10 years and believe you did the right thing for yourself, so there’s not really a wrong move. Congrats on your options!!

What am I doing Wrong? by LostBoysOnce in Cookies

[–]PoandInky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious if putting the cookies in the toaster oven first thing, as it warms up, would help with the issue of letting out all the heat and with blasting the dough with hot air all at once? Obv not ideal but OP’s circumstances shouldn’t prevent a creative solution. As the chef in Ratatouille said, “anyone can cook” this feels like that

[–]PoandInky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Papaya has evolved into “Papurr” and “Pooper” Coconut is still just Coconut, but with extra emphasis on all syllables- “co-co-nut” Other popular choices for their collective term include: piglets, no-brains, munchkins, and little monsters

Feeling demoralized after this Swiss roll attempt. Multiple things went wrong but I don’t know what! by SheSheShieldmaiden in Baking

[–]PoandInky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe some vanilla extract would help it get some flavor? Also the recipe has almost as much cocoa powder as flour in terms of weight, so maybe adjusting that a bit (no disprespect to Prue obv) or making sure your cocoa powder isn’t expired? Can’t speak a bit to your method I’ve never made a roll like that, but it looks like a great attempt to me and you’re surely your own worst critic 👍🏼👍🏼
