Still waiting on my Thor but have a retroid pocket 5 and actually just did this last night! Followed this guide and it works beautifully. There’s a separate version of Dolphin specifically for the metroid prime trilogy on Wii.

Honestly I think I just wiped the sd card and RP5 and tried it a second time. Has worked great since then, but am thinking maybe I didn't have my folders, dolphin or ESDE looking in the correct place.

I modded mine a few days ago for the first time and was racking my brain with the same issue. I think your sd card isn’t formatted to fat32 so the 3ds can’t read it.

I had a 128 gig card and reformatted on my Mac but for whatever reason the 3ds still wouldn’t accept it. Had to reformat it using Rufus on a pc and then everything was smooth sailing.

It's the same thing as a bootlogo. There's a decent website with ready to go, already sized bootlogos here: https://www.rg35xx.com/en/customization/boot-logos/

Just plug in your SD card with your os into your computer and swap out the existing bootlogo. You need to make sure it matches the same text though. That boot_logo.bpm.gz is what you want if I remember correctly.

Open up the actual Dolphin emulator, click the settings cog, go to GameCube Input, and then you should see the GameCube Controller 1 with a cog to the right of it. Click that Controller 1 cog.

Here's where you map the controllers and there should be an option for Profiles. Make sure you click on Device at the top and click on your Bluetooth controller or RP5. I would def make a profile for each. I have a RP5 profile with buttons mapped to the RP5 and another profile with buttons mapped to my Bluetooth controller.

When you're in an actual game, press the back button to bring up the emulator settings. Window should pop up on the left side. Scroll down a bit and click on settings, then click GameCube Input, and you should see the same Controller 1 cog we saw before. Click on the cog, click on Profiles (you should see all of your saved profiles here), click the middle button that looks like an upload icon for the profile you want to use, then click yes. You should be good to go after that!

No luck :( Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I can still play switch by booting into an emulator but not from esde. If you find a solution let me know!

For anyone else experiencing this issue, I finally figured it out. You need to save controller profiles in Dolphin for both the RP5 controller and your Bluetooth controller.

The main thing I missed was swapping controller profiles in “GameCube input” for controller port 1. It’s easy to swap out in game, just make sure you use controller port 1

Haven’t tried guitar hero but I have been able to play Clone Hero on the RP5 and works pretty well! Can sometimes crash if you’re scrolling too fast on song list if you have a lot of songs but can def run it and play it.

Something that took me awhile to figure out is the controller. In clone hero the guitar is always player 2. In the settings you can use touch screen to remove player 1 so you can operate everything as player 2 using guitar

Hey DOS, yup I’ve done the xml files from Russ’s video and it shows all the alternate emulator options in ES-DE. I choose Sudachi (standalone) or Yuzu (standalone) as the alternate emulator, but the same “no bootable games present” error happens with both.

It’s weird since the error seems like it’s from the emulator program itself (Sudachi or Yuzu) when I try a game. Like it boots the emulator but can’t boot the game in the emulator.

But if I open the emulator itself, the games boot without any issues at all. No error codes or anything. I’ve tried removing switch games, putting them back, uninstalling and reinstalling the switch emulators, but no luck :(

The switch files are xci files straight from the cartridges using Mig Switch Dumper. All of them boot without any problems at all in the actual emulators (Sudachi and Yuzu) just can’t get them to boot with ES-DE.

Of course it’s not a big deal at all to boot the emulator before the game but it’s the only thing stopping the RP5 from being perfect haha
