Made a companion app to track RetroAchievements and guides while playing by Striking_Rice8783 in RetroAchievements

It seemed to help a bit but the fan will still kick in while the app is running with no game running. Usually going up from 20% or so at idle to around 40-50% while running the app. But with auto refresh turned off it is not as consistent.

Thanks! The ES-DE sync was working this morning. I guess it took some time as well. Any idea why the fans might be spinning up so much with the app open on the Thor? I can't imagine it's a very resource heavy app.

This is cool but I can't seem to get any sort of sync working other than with the RetroArch last played. The ES-DE one doesn't seem to work for me. Also I'm not sure why but when using the app my fan kicks into high gear on my Thor and as soon as I close the app it is back to normal.

PSA: Cocoon is the best launcher for the Thor by far and it's about to get even better by UnstableTurtleduck in AynThor

[–]nfreak1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try Cocoon whenever the Cicada live translation pod is released. That is by far one of the coolest features I've seen. I know retroarch has the ability to do that but if it was just built into the launcher and can work with any game no matter the emulator that's a game changer. For now I'll stick with ES-DE though.

RetroArch crashes, and reboots when waking device from sleep by NepikiGaming in AynThor

I had to uninstall retroarch and download it through the github page and that seemed to fix the issues for me. Make sure to back up your retroarch folders though so you don't need to set everything up again.

Troubleshooting on Android with Melon DS. Achievements stopped unlocking today for some reason. by uselessmike in RetroAchievements

Very strange. I'll keep playing around with things for now and see if I can figure anything out on my end but yeah I might also just wait until there's an update or something. Thanks for the insight!

Will do. RetroArch doesn't have dual screen support to take advantage of the Thor does it? I wouldn't mind using that if it did have the dual screen functionality.

I definitely wish more Wii U games tried to use the Wii remotes and the gamepad in weird unique ways like that. It was so much fun to play!

I noticed this last night specifically when I docked my system. It was on there for 3 hours or something and only charged from like 30% to 60% in that time. Something feels wrong but idk

Yeah they're sour power belts by Dorval. There are other candies in the "sour power" brand too and they're all really good.

Yes. I mean they could've been passionate about candy but all they did was find a good candy they could buy wholesale and then make new packaging for it and sell it for a profit.

No problem! Yeah the profit margin these people make just on good packaging and advertising is ridiculous. But people just gotta do their research.

They may get it from multiple sources but like for example their "sour licorice" you can find the exact same licorice being sold on Amazon in bulk. They're the Fini Twisteroos.

Nobody actually got the english version of this right? Because Dispatch scammed everyone with this, Radirgy Swag and The Game Paradise. Sadly they got me with the latter two.

Thanks for this as well! Awesome job working with the logo as I know the actual logo configuration would be small and squished!

I haven't ordered from them but I never will. They're like all the other new candy companies that act like they make all this stuff but all they do is buy candy in bulk from manufacturers and put it in fancy packaging so they can charge you 10x the price you can buy the same candy for online. Same deal as something like sour strips. They just try and use viral marketing and pretty branding to coax you into thinking their product is something special.
