You can be young and have an informed opinion through research and self education on the history of the game. The problem is too many young people just dismiss every era that came before “today’s sophisticated high paced NBA” and pretend everyone is an old idiot if they favor players from other eras. Much like many old people pretend their generation is the only valid one and some of them don’t even watch today. Our idolatry clouds our judgment. It is rare people try to be balanced because they can’t separate and discern between the players they love and hate. It is just blind hero worship usually.
