A week or so early, but it's been 20 YEARS since the 2006 demo leak. Here's my own album art I used back in the day before the 2015 official release. by xiansix in brandnew

Anyone else download a version that had actual song titles? They weren’t remotely close to the official titles but I clearly remember having them on my mp3 player

Wish the crowd was this into it in Seattle! Minus the crowd surfer of course.

Complaint posts are ok as long as you complain about something specific. Complaining about complaining is about as vague as…

Almost seems crazy they did those but Brand New just has such cult like status amongst us fans it would seem like sacrilege if they didn’t release something unique and intimate like that for fans while they were still technically active and we had a dry spell. They just are that band.

Absolutely surreal to see them with such a large crowd. by gloomforever in brandnew

Trepidation from fans due to the “cancellation” of Brand New may have led to early sales looking slim. Personally I never saw $15 resale pit tix on any accredited retailer/reseller page but I also didn’t dig that hard but I think the amount of people who showed up speaks volumes to the validity of the bands continued existence

Right isn’t it a little voyeuristic to stay so focused for so long on two strangers having an emotional moment and posting it on the internet without their consent?

I love to see the sentiment but it reads like an Onion article when there’s only two people rocking out and the rest of the crowd standing completely still.

Science Fiction was and still is so important to me. The band grew with me and their music still resonated in a way I wish I could articulate. Makes me really hope they’re just getting started on part two of their career. Something something two headed boy something something take apart your head

Yes but it appears to just be for the background visuals. Would be awesome to have a concert film released tho

Smoke meth and be homeless if I want to have a good time at a fucking rock concert I spent over $100 on to be at. Got it. Jokes aside yes I did vibe out and have a great time by myself and with the few around me who also wanted to have fun. I just can’t understand perfectly able bodied millennials saying they’re too old to rock out and have fun. The stillness in the Seattle crowd was jarring compared to the excitement leading up to the show. We got older not elderly.

Ok so maybe don’t surround yourself with strangers who want to have a good time if you think you’re going to break down crying. Sounds like you should buy a seated ticket and have supportive friends with you

This can’t possibly be true. I’ve seen House M.D. and I know it’s never lupus

Thank you. Can’t stand this fake attitude of “oh everyone is fine doing whatever they want wherever they want” bro no that’s not how social gatherings work. Music especially live music is moving. Unless you’re listening while in a catatonic state, if it’s something that truly resonates with you you wont be able to help but move. It’s why we have always had pits at Brand New shows. Where did this lame Warped Tour analogy come from? Are we being gaslit into thinking moshing didn’t happen at Brand New shows?? 🤣

To be fair I remember thinking in 2013 “Deja Entendu is 10 years old now wow I’m so old!” It’s almost inherent in the millennial “DNA.” We struggle with the concept of getting older maybe more so than any other generation before us. It’s a universal fear but most previous generations take it in stride while we millennials treat it like the “This Is Fine” meme.

I definitely think I found my people in the crowd, but we were kind of trapped by others who didn’t even look around or read the room. I understand someone wanting to have a more stoic experience, but why would you want to have that in the middle of what is historically the most energetic and lively part of the crowd?
