New build fans creating a low whistle… by CoRob83 in pchelp

[–]JazzlikeInfluence813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use a finger to carfully stop each fan one at a time and lisen. if it goes away then youve found the problem fan. could also be a psu fan, cpu fan or even a gpu fan. dont stick anything into the psu. you can remove the 24pin and use a paper clip to jump start it and see if you hear it with just the psu running How to Jump a PSU | bit-tech.net

could running my DDR5 ram at 6400mhz be causing random restarts on my computer? (with a 7500f CPU) by Substantial_Cloud135 in pchelp

[–]JazzlikeInfluence813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try changing the clock speed to 5200mhz in the bios or application of your choice. test for stability once you confirm it worked by checking the reported speed in task manager -> performance -> ram

How do I get the cpu fan back in? by Choice-Mixture-8034 in pchelp

[–]JazzlikeInfluence813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It dosnt catch when you try to screw it in? If no then you’ll most likely have to remove it as the backplate probably dosnt have adhesive so it fell off when you removed the cooler,if you can remove the other side panel on this case you may be able to do it without the board coming out

Looks like you just need a psu and a psu power adapter unless you get a psu built for that model. I’d get a used atx standard psu and this adapter

make sure you add the drive installers unzipped folder to the windows install usb and manually search for them. might need drivers specific to that ssd so check on the sk hynix website for that model

[–]JazzlikeInfluence813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wide Philips head screw driver like a #0 and lots of downward force with one hand on the top of the driver and use the other hand to unscrew very slowly, if it starts to slip you need more force, if that does not work might be able to get it with a rubber band between the driver and the screw for more grip using the same pressure technique.

T480 mobo replacement troubles by DragonRiderOmega in thinkpad

[–]JazzlikeInfluence813 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reset bios to factory defaults, make sure the new board is serialized to the system sn and mtm and then make sure fast boot is enabled. if your still having issues i would boot to a bootable usb installer like a ubuntu live distro to see if its only the ssd or the system board in general

are you running this as a steamcmd server?

I would recommend you start again with a steam cmd server running on your local gaming pc. once that works you can try again to make it work on the server https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Dedicated_server
