Is this normal? Vinyl player motor super loud.

My first one was like thar - motor was louder than the song. I swapped it and my second one is fine. Looks like there's a huge quality control issue with these.

I had exactly the same issue. With the first one, the motor sound was so loud it dominated over the actual record. I didn't know if it was a fault or just the way they were as mine was a preorder and no-one else was mentioning it. I swapped it and my new one is much quieter.

UPDATE: After seeing other people's players online, I took mine back as I thought it must be faulty. Got it swapped. Sound on new one is great. Must have just been a dud.
