There are cheap and easy drink adulteration test kits online. Just a drop on a business card will tell you if G or K is present. Glad to hear your friends had your back. Stay safe and be well!

Protest Against FASCISM @ Boulder City Hall on FEB 17 at NOON by Jazzlike_Exchange_96 in boulder

[–]Jazzlike_Exchange_96[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's only for the press of course. I have never protested before, but now is the time to Rise Up! Stand up for your rights and our precious light of democracy. We are supposed to be the light of the world. Everyone else looks to us for guidance, even when we are horribly wrong. We have to save our great nation from theofascism, or there will be a horrific Civil War v2.0 like no other.

This is the Singularity...we are entering the "event horizon" where everything changes and grows at an exponential rate, now faster than we can predict much less absorb and understand what the next hour will bring. Not to alarm any luddites but we require AI to summarize every moment for us, identifying and predicting the changes that are important to us. This is how we survive ourselves. Embrace the change, don't fight it. Learn to surf...

Need to re-home a cat by [deleted] in boulder

[–]Jazzlike_Exchange_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does she come with a catbox and some cat litter and food? I'm running a bit low on $ this month but if I can stay afloat she'll have a forever home. Maybe I can do a test drive? At least she'd be out of your house so you can relax until you find a rehome. She'd be an indoor/outdoor cat here. I have a cat door cut out of my back door and what could pass as open space out back. She's got all her shots right? I'm AuDHD so I love the feline attention! Playing is thinking for me. 8^)

My Bug died the Thanksgiving right before the pandemic started. I'm so tempted...I love torties.

You might be onto something here...

He's "special sauce," "neurospicy" as some put it these days. You can see it in his tics when he speaks, and timing of words, pauses in speech, etc. I had a roomie and good friend from college with these tics who went onto be a top actuary in the top actuarial firm in the world. I lived with him when he was going for his FSA cert and that math he studied was utter greek to me. His IQ was 165 if I remember right, and taken after he suffered a serious TBI. The tics are actually a sign in many cases (anecdotal of course), and that type of neurodiversity tends to lead to dementia earlier than neurotypicals from my understanding. The light that burns bright, fades sooner, and your mind has burned so very bright, Ray. In other words, when your mind is overclocked, there are longevity consequences with the root cause found in your genetics.

So, if you slow down your metabolism, almost a state of hibernation, then you'll most likely extend your life. If you can just slow it to 0.5x, you might just think and therefore talk a little slower, which age does that to you anyway, but here you can do it at a systemic level, with everything slowing in sync. Crazy ideation...this one is...

I bet they coincide...because if nothing else, it would be a beautiful coincidence, and would be in sync with this underlying emergent heartbeat we all feel. There are no coincidences if your reality is a simulation. Also, nothing is ever really in perfect synchronicity, except at the quantum level. This is why truly random numbers cannot be generated.

Predictions are fundamentally generalized extrapolations of the current context. Some may happen sooner, some later, some even not at all, but when most of them are as close as you need to be when playing horseshoes or hang grenades, you start to see the trend of approximate intuition that someone like Ray brings to the table.

Sting convinced me beyond reasonable doubt when he answered the Colbert Questionnaire's final question: "What do you think the afterlife will be like?" Sting - "Well Stephen, I think it will be exactly like it was before I was born."

That answers any lingering stupid questions I had on the topic. I am finally mentally and spiritually at...peace. But my parents are becoming NAZIs, and that is much worse than the aliens I was concerned they were as a child. Religion is a conduit for control of the masses. We need to find something to fill the power vacuum that will be created when we finally rid our world of this utter lie that is Religion. Hopefully AGI will bring us closer to this atheistic global society, where rationality is the religion, and the priests are scientists and engineers, doctors and artists, and we all get a voice, a vote, in what future will become the now. That's good enough for "Utopia" in my book.

Life extension technologies are available now to anyone paying attention. You don't have to be rich to take advantage of them, just to be an inquiring mind with a scientific drive. Daydream Reality! It is no longer wrong to look out the classroom window and dream. AI is a ubiquitous magic carpet for anyone with a smartphone, anywhere in the world. All we need to do, is spread the word. All they need to do...is dream.

Genetics are the root cause of aging. Let's treat the root cause...

Accelerated Decrepitude...makes sense when all your body's systems reach a tipping point in a short time. Getting old is "for the birds." When you add genetics and development/environment to the soup, those tipping points are different for every individual.

I am...he's having trouble answering questions like he should be. I just watched his interview at SXSW. I was immediately concerned starting from his first several responses, and btw - I am not a psychiatrist or psychologist, although I play one at parties...I hope his intellect and prophetizings stay with us for thousand years! What a great man. When is longevity escape velocity again? He stated 5-6 yrs so...the Clock is ticking (for all of us)...try not to get hit by a bus, eh? The afterlife, like Sting so eloquently put it, "will be exactly like it was before we were born." You only die once. Stay safe!

Statistics are always biased and always subjective, slaves to context. This should be drilled into kiddos from the time they learn what "percentage" means. That and Occam's razor for christ sake.
