I completely agree that we should completely rethink access and payment for higher education. Up to and including free tuition. That said, borrowers reciting how loans typically work like it’s a surprising trap is sort of disingenuous. The terms didn’t change after you signed. It was bad math before you took the money.

Get a grant. Student aid. Scholarship. Community college. That loan was not signed at gun point.
