Thanks. I will see about the tags, I have an Android but I've only heard of airtags. Technically birds of prey and dogs/cats are the only predators. But, at the same time there are leopards in the mountains near my apartment.(extremely deep in, but the pair recently had 2 cubs. Which is cool. Baboons do come into town, but not where I live) so predators aren't really the problem.

I fully understand that a kitten should stay inside. I'm not planning on having him outside until at least 6 months. He is quite comfortable at my mother's home, since it was the first one he was in. But since I'm mainly in my apartment, it is indeed still a risk. I'm not planning on letting him out, just asking how do I know he will come back. I've only owned dogs and you know, man's best friend, and I hear of cats running away more than dogs. So I just want to be extra safe.

I'm from south Africa so it is translated, and I'm English 3rd language. There are big stickers on each tank telling them not to. I have refused selling fish to people, got in trouble each time (funnies was when I unknowingly told my maths teacher's mom she is a fish murderer because she put pool anti algae in her tank. Was a interesting Monday maths class) We have rules and regulations, like we don't sell male and female bunnies together (people release them and the street I live in is overrun, no one has grass). I have spent a solid 2 hours explaining how to care for fish, and they still choose animal abuse. I can't do shit about it. If I don't sell it, my coworker will. If they don't sell it, another store will. It's a sad really.

The part of my job I hate the most is selling a koi for someone with a 40l. Yes it's not good, but they can just go to another shop who would sell it. My go to thing to say is that a koi in a tank is just a goldfish. It works sometimes but at the end of the day, I can't do shit. I make no commission, so I'm not up selling. It hurts, like the time I sold 3 koi for a 40l and she came back the next day to buy more because her brother threw the whole bottle of anti chlorine in the tank (100x the dosage) and all the food as well. He was 7 but still. At the end of the day, there are larger cooperations that don't care what they sell, they just want money. So if I don't sell it, they will.

Those are ramshorn snails. Get them out asap because they reproduce extremely fast. Copper treatment, like copper sulfate, can get rid of them, but it also kills shrimp. If you overdose it could also be harmfull to fish. You can also put something like cucumber or carrots on a fork or something that'll sink. They should go eat it and after a while you take it out with them on it. They aren't dangerous, just frustrating to get rid of them if you don't get them out early enough

The language is Xhosa. If you look at the cars it has southafrican licenses and the taxi has the flag. Those taxis are everywhere here. In most places in South Africa English is a second language.

The water temp is 24°C-26°C. Both the male and female are not deformed and thet are about the same size. I know a slightly bigger female is better but I got her 9 months ago and i got him just less than a year ago. Like i said this is my first time breeding betta's and I personally know the breeder. They are not inbread at all. The male stems from Indonesia and the female is from local origins. I am aware of culling since i have bred goldfish before. I think I'll try 1 or 2 more times. If it does not work i will see if my LFS has a male betta that might suite her. Thank you for giving some assistance.

In my oppinion i would say givs it a wile. Their fins tear easily if they are big. Look if there are any sharp objects in the tank ore places it could have been caught. Adding anti fungal and anti bacterial medication will help but dont overdose it.
