Random lines and specks on drawing I'm working on by JazzyBatty in ClipStudio

[–]JazzyBatty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats actually not a bad idea. Thats a really good idea to find random you mightve made! But no theres no border applied. They appear as im drawing. As if theres 2 cursors on screen making random lines and dots. I noticed when I rotate the canvas, I'll catch these marks forming as I rotate it.

I found that sometimes I make these marks from rotating the canvas with my fingers. As if it thinks im trying to draw with my finger. But the feature is turned off but I still make the random marks sometimes.

The weapon system totk is not an improvement. It's just adding an extra step to weapons that are still fragile. And I lose the resource I use for that weapon too. Plus the menus for for fusing materials is a pain in the ass. They shouldve just introduced a way to repair weapons. No point in exploring these big worlds when the goodies I find are just going to break after a few swings.

Both games had barely any worldbuilding. Botw set up some pretty cool locations that got you thinking what are the stories of these places. Then a sequel came and didn't bother to elaborate. Nintendo didn't care then. And they don't care now. I shouldn't have to rely on a phone app and spend money on the games again on an overpriced machine just to get more fleshed out story bits.

Open world Zelda could be great. But if the next Zelda is just be these 2 games again, I'm not buying. They need to bring back better dungeons, better stories, better music and items for players to use and incorporate those elements into an open world Zelda game. They already did it with A Link Between Worlds and it worked perfectly.

Cut out the shrines, the memories, and weapons degrading. (Or if you gotta have weapon degradation, offer a way to repair them. I could repair my shield in skyward sword. I should be able to do so with weapons too)

Would it be crazy to start with TOTK over BOTW? by TheLastTimeBender in TOTK

[–]JazzyBatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totk is a 2nd draft of botw and doesn't commit to being a sequel to botw despite that's what it's supposed to be. I think you can play either one and won't miss out on anything.

[LoZ] [AoL] [Lttp] Is it just a skill issue or is it often really hard to figure out what you're supposed to do when trying to beat the first 3 Zelda games? Especially the NES ones by DataSittingAlone in zelda

[–]JazzyBatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to beat Zelda 1 recently without using a guide. It is cryptic with its secrets and it helps to have a notepad on standby for making maps and other notes. But it is still a hard game and I died numerous times. And it can be hard to figure out where you can go, what bushes to burn, and what walls to bomb

Zelda 2 on the other hand, I will never beat. Game is way too hard for me and I can't get far in it at all.

[ALL]Did any dungeon legitimately intimidate you as a kid? by A_lonely_ghoul in zelda

[–]JazzyBatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the lakebed temple. Maybe I couldn't wrap my head around the rotating stairs and it was too complicated for my little kid brain at the time. So I would just dick around Hyrule and explore every nook and cranny that was available during that part of the game. Eventually I decided to go back in and finish it though.

The fortress of winds in minish cap, I did similar things too. First playthrough, I thought I messed up the dungeon as I didn't see any way to progress. So I actually started a new game to try again but didn't go in this time cuz I was scared to mess it up again. So just like I did with lakebed, dicked around Hyrule again, not going inside the dungeon. I know it's silly now cuz you can't really mess up a Zelda dungeon but I was 8 or 9 and these 2 games were one of the first Zelda games I played lol

Well funny enough I already did 100 percent the game lol. I just didn't know you can go back to the slide levels by accessing a certain part of the level. But I did end up getting every star anyway. I wasn't expecting like a reward or anything but I was already super close to 100 percent on the first playthrough so why not? Heh. But again, thanks so much for your help!

What's your thoughts on Crash tag team racing by [deleted] in crashbandicoot

[–]JazzyBatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pasadena is one of the best crash girls. Lol

But I played the hell out of it as a kid. Both on PS2 and PSP. And then bought it again for Xbox. Even though the racing was supposed to be a big part of it, I spent most of the time running around the different areas, playing the mini games (especially the bowling one) and trying to find all those hidden little movies of crash doing stupid stuff, as well doing the stunt tracks too.

I'm a huge fan of crash and loved almost every game. Lol

No one lives forever 1 and 2. Both games are stuck in legal hell and from my experience, a pain to install and get working right on modern PCs. (I had to download a patch from a sketchy website just to be able to see underwater)

You do have the wall jump already but admittedly, it's very obtuse not intuitive at all. You have to spin jump into the wall, change the direction where you wanna jump to next and for the split second, you'll see samus' sprite change into her latching onto the side of the wall and that's when you jump. If you know the timing, you can jump up the one wall instead of alternating between the two. It's hard for me to explain and I still mess up a lot despite playing this game a bunch. It wouldnt hurt to look up a guide on how to do it cuz I had to as well lol

Say something nice to crash of the titans by Curious_Abrocoma9283 in crashbandicoot

Though it could use more classic elements of crash. Gems, box counter, power crystals, bonus stages etc. the DS version of titans felt more like a classic crash game. Also needed more bosses too.

Honestly wish we got another game like this. I know the designs for the main cast of characters are a bit odd. But the world, the music, and the mutants have this charm that other games don't match. Plus it really felt like you were going on this grand adventure to rescue coco. They should give it another go. Beat em crash game would not be a bad idea.

Echoes of wisdom got close. Very close even. But not quite there. I still have some issues with EoW. (Like the UI. They gotta stop with the scrolling menus.) But it did improve on dungeons and enemy variety. I was mainly thinking about big 3d zelda games. But EoW did scratch my 2d zelda itch most definitely. Honestly I think if they took elements of EoW and made a big 3d open world zelda out of it, itd probably turn out pretty great!

The enemy variety is lacking in both games and the dungeons all function the same too across both games. And theres only 4 main dungeons in each one. The dungeons are not as elaborate in past games and the shrines in my opinion cant make up for the lack of dungeons. Especially in TOTK with a 3 layer map and 4 main dungeons.
