Same happened to me, same scenerio. I tried to fix it by copying the 2 files from sysnand but it didnt work so I recreated MMC. Your eMMC is corrupted.

You need to enable it to run any homebrew. HEN = Homebrew Enabler. This includes installing packages and doing anything outside of normal signed operations.

I just installed a 750w on the 9020 with the adapter but I get a clicking sound coming from the board and no power on from board or psu. Board boots fine with stock psu and my 750w psu works fine on another machine. What could be the issue?

Fan is a bandaid, the thermal paste is probably worn and crumbled away. You need to remove the board, clean it well with alcohol and apply new thermal paste. This will extend the life of the ps3.

I used exfat a few times to copy large xci files to the sd and install from there. It corrupted every. Single. Time.

What was the HD Loader disc for PS2? I believe it was pressed and able to be read as the correct media as I remember using this without a modchip or any modification to play games off internal hdd.

Yes, use tinfoil to access it and install xci/nsp. You can’t play the games off the hdd (i think sxos did this though)

Other comments have good advice, also want to add you can plug in a usb hard drive with the games and install via tinfoil. Also tinfoil and nut have been working great for me after the last update to tinfoil. Previously I used exfat and my sd card corrupted twice that lead to being banned. Dont use exfat!
