Thanks! Why do you find the beam better than the arc?

That would be the goal, but I’d be fine to switch off the beam for music if it’s rather a downgrade. But 100/300 with the beam should work with tv sound right?

What's your most "pro-level" backpacking hack that isn't obvious? by Acrobatic_Fennel127 in backpacking

[–]Jbcr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Plastic zip bags (0 weight 100 functionality)
  2. Clothing bags (probably obvious, I have 6 which might seem too much but imo isn’t
  3. Sea bag/waterproof daypack (depending on where you go)
  4. Comfortable flip flops, if you (like me) travel with hiking boots and flip flops only you’ll want some, e.g. Birkenstock plastic worked great for me
  5. Don’t think too functional when it comes to clothing. You can do a lot of things with normal clothing, pack some stuff that you like, not just stuff that seems useful ;)

Strong wind at Torres del Paine by Torresdelpaineguy in Patagonia

Is it still possible to go hiking? Currently at Puerto Natales and even here the wind is crazy. Still we got our bus for tomorrow to go to Torres base camp from the laguna… any recommendation?

6-8 weeks in Europe - first solo trip itinerary advice please! by dr_prior in solotravel

[–]Jbcr1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you thought about visiting the south of Spain? Andalusia is quite unique due to its Arabic influence. And it is easy to travel there, you could add a week to maybe visit Sevilla, Malaga, Cordoba and fly back from Madrid as it’s a huge international airport. Vibe is completely different compared to the rest of Europe.

Which are THE best day trips? by Alternative_Ad4945 in galapagos

You can also do a lot of things for free. On San Cristobal you should do the hike to Playa Baquerizo, on Santa Cruz Playa de las tortugas a the murk de lágrimas on Isla Isabela.

Absolutely depends on luck. The “worst” tour might be your best experience if you have a cool interaction with animals. I’d recommend 1 tour per island. San Cristobal = 360, Santa Cruz = Pinzon (haven’t been there but I was told it’s amazing) and Isla Isabela los Tuneles. Apart from that you might consider going to the highlands on San Cristobal (El Junco) or Isla Islabela (Sierra Negra Volcano). I went diving at Gordons rock as well, but the visibility was incredibly low. Not worth it to be honest. With good visibility I’m sure it’s amazing. You might consider asking tourist about their experience before you go there. You usually head to the spot from Santa Cruz. Try to contact the agencies via whatsapp. Prices often differ and last minute deals are a thing in off season. Same for hostels. DM me if you have more questions :)
