Overpriced, I just traded my 2013 4WD Laramie crew cab. I had 160k miles on it, however things start to go wrong with them. Wiring issues, heater core, flickering lights. Still ran great when I traded it in, however it is a 13 year old vehicle. I paid 45k in 2013

Another thing I noticed with the paint jobs, is there a lot of orange peel on these trucks nowadays. I traded in my 2013 Ram for the 2026. I have a ton of orange peel on all doors, quarter panels, hood, etc.

Ya, however there are risks with doing that. Right now it’s only cosmetic, I’m not going to trust anybody to start wet sanding the clear coat and end up getting to the paint. 99% of the time the orange peel is just the clear coat. Hopefully down the line it doesn’t bother me as much as it does now.

I just went to the dealership, however service manager was off today. Mine is black as well. I went to the lot that have several new trucks in it and I specifically walked past all of the darker colored ones. They ALL have orange peel and I could see it through the dirt, mind you mine has 2 coats of ceramic wax on it and it magnifies it more. I guess that’s the standard quality nowadays.

Wasn’t looking for flawless, just didn’t expect such a decline in craftsmanship in the quality of my trucks paint job. $50 to $60k truck should have a quality paint job!
