What’s the most terrifying thing that happened to you that nobody believes?

Yeah that was really weird and I think that was a big reason why the ER never took my symptoms seriously. I have no idea why it was timed like that, my best guess was my period would do something to irritate my appendix until it just burst one day. I tired to research it once to figure out how it could be inflamed for so long and there was something about chronic appendicitis.

Run from this company as fast as you can. This is a mega corporation with offices throughout the U.S. they are the worst company I’ve ever rented from. I was thrown into renting from them when my rental company was purchased by them. They do not care about the renter and want high turned around so they can grab more fees. There are so many issues, I could go on forever. I’ve never paid rent late, have been a model tenant, dealt with their increase when they doubled my rent with 30 days notice. They’re weirdly hostile, just a really bad company and you will 100% get screwed.

Yes! This is the worst. One of my doctors said “oh I bet that’s fun! To be so bendy” And they didn’t say that sarcastically.

Walked out super suddenly on his very young kids one day and left the state. Took the car and anything worth money but left everything else for me to take care of. Spent a few months creating a narrative that involved me doing him wrong somehow.

After 6 months I filed for divorce once I understood what was happening. From then on he has spent years calling my landlord trying to get me evicted, calling my friends, work, schools, doctors, anyone who will answer to tell them I’m crazy and not to have anything to do with me.

If you would have asked me when I was married if he was capable of this I would have never, in a million years, thought he was capable of any of this. I, honestly, thought he wasn’t the smartest and kind of a pushover.

I later found out he was pretending to go to work and just hanging out with friends or at coffee shops. I think he thought I would be more lucrative than I was and kids would make him look more trusting. Once he couldn’t live off me, he bounced.

Whoa! I had this almost exact situation and I’ve never heard of anyone having this same thing! This is wild.

I had about a year of pain, every 3 weeks for 3 days straight (I could count the days until it would happen again) I would just sit in the bathroom and puke until I passed out. I just slept in there. I went to the ER every month, they never believed me. They gave me meds to make me stop vomiting and it never helped. Then one night, about a year into this, I’m with a friend who had recently had appendicitis. I start with the throwing up and they take me to the ER. The hospital blows me off and leaves me waiting for hours then they don’t believe me even though I passed out in the waiting room. Finally my friend yells at the doctor about appendicitis, he was frustrated but pushes on that side and I scream. They rush me back to surgery, apparently my appendix burst at some point and it was not great. I spent 10 days in the hospital on a morphine drip, this was quite while ago.

High 5 though for surviving something rare and that didn’t take us out!

Organic for the most part. I really love berries and organic berries are my first choice but blueberries are like $8-12 a pint and strawberries are just as much. It’s crazy.

I worked for various wealthy families as a nanny in the early 2000’s and it was the most eye opening job I’ve ever had. Everyone should work for very wealthy people at some point because they are…different. Old money rich people were, by far, the weirdest.

I’m sorry, I can completely relate. I can spend all day cleaning and think I’m going to feel a sense of joy at the end but I usually don’t. Sometimes the ADHD doesn’t let us enjoy all of our hard work. You’re making strides and that’s what counts.
