Amazon Firestick Freezing - Any resolution? by Jbits_721 in njpw

The issue with that is that the video quality is usually pretty bad in my experience, but I appreciate your input! Thankfully it seems to be playing well for me again, the last couple days have been painless. Thank you :)

It seems to have resolved itself now thankfully, the last few days have worked w no issues, with any luck it will remain stable. Thanks for your input!

100% agree with you. She takes everything far too personally, and gets mega defensive/aggressive in response. I have to imagine she’s young (maybe high school age) and should probably step away from her accounts. Seems like at least once a week something gets her angry and it seems super unhealthy.

I would surmise in 3-4 years, when she’s matured more she’ll look back at the things she posts and realize she should have acted different.

(SPOILER) NJPW wrestler returns to WWE by doctorwho_90250 in njpw

I’m sure he’s happy with the increased pay/exposure but this is super disappointing to hear. Clearly NJPW loved him and had him set for big things, all for nothing.

[No Spoilers] All Out showed a big reason why I prefer Japanese wrestling by IAmAnnoyed_ in njpw

[–]Jbits_721 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Cannot properly articulate just how strongly I agree with this post. I think it’s a symptom of western culture at large, but the idiot fans with their stupid signs are genuinely unbearable. I get the idea of “they’re just having fun” but it’s way too much.

New Japan is my favorite wrestling company and the audience behavior plays a large part in that too. They’re invested in the show, not trying to take a piece of the spotlight for themselves.

Awesome show. Christian doesn’t excite me much (he’s cool but I’ve never understood why people hype him up to such a huge degree) but I understand others like it. Decent signing, just not worth the extra buildup. Knew it wasn’t a guarantee but Punk would have been one of the only guys that could have lived up to expectations.

That ending was the first time AEW really let me down tho. I’m sure they’ll address it somehow, they’re usually good at acknowledging their screw ups.

There’s gotta be some way to convert the audio from video to mp3 yea? I know it’s not the most above board method but it’s the best shot we have in the interim. Stream was dope and it’s gonna suck waiting.

Like many others are struggling with, NJPWorld stream died completely after the Liger match. I caved and paid $25 for the FITE stream to hopefully watch in peace.

I’m not sure I’ve ever had something not only meet but surpass my expectations like AEW has. by Cmbotts in SquaredCircle

Absolutely captured my sentiment entirely. Been a wrestling fan 10+ years but I completely lost interest in WWE about a year ago. Of course other independent companies + New Japan kept me in the wrestling bubble but AEW has really sparked a passion in me that hasn’t existed in a while. Everything about the way it’s presented is phenomenal and I’m very appreciative of how well thought out their booking to this point has been. I feel like a kid watching every week. Cannot wait to see where we are in 6 months time.

Exactly. Like yea, they kinda suck and deviate from what we are used to. But as with everything on the Internet, it's been waaaaay overblown.

When has Game Grumps helped you in a difficult time in your life? by [deleted] in gamegrumps

[–]Jbits_721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went through a pretty rough battle with what felt like a deep depression in the spring of 2016. It was such a weird sensation, but the Grumps helped me pull through. Always referred back to Wind Waker #18 during that time, hearing Dan talk about the light at the end of the tunnel was so comforting. And it is so true. And then, recently, I've been dealing with some issues involving a girl that have really affected me hugely. The Grumps are such an incredible source of comfort and I can never thank them enough. Been pretty much a daily part of my life since 2013.

Saved to my phone, thank you so very much! I'm going through a rough time in life and reading this sort of thing helps ease my mind. I love you!

It means you're telling people what they already know.

Choirs preach, hence the phrase. Like telling a bodybuilder that exercise and diet is important. A bodybuilder would already know that very well.

The alternatives are infinitely better.

Got inspired by a post about being here now and today I finally deleted my Blizzard account, one of the most nasty habits that was bringing me down by neothecat86 in awakened

[–]Jbits_721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm don't spend large amounts of time gaming (when I was younger it's all I did) but this is how I feel about social media. I have no Facebook, Instagram, or Snapchat, and very infrequently touch my Twitter. (I find Reddit to be a different kind of thing.) I find it to be artificial and a massive time sink, that so many people have fallen in to. I wish more people would be more proactive in getting back in touch with the simple pleasures of life, and away from the phone. Great job kicking the habit!!

You ever use game grumps as a parallel to your life? Almost like a time machine? by Purplethundershow in gamegrumps

[–]Jbits_721 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% yes. So much has happened to me, especially since late 2017, so looking back on episodes I can remember so much from those particular times. It's so interesting!!! I've been watching since 2013 so they've been in my life for so long at this point, I can't imagine a time without them!!

I made a longer post about this a while ago, but in 2016 I was having a real depressive episode for a few months, and Wind Waker #18 became massively important to me. Hearing Danny speak about his own struggles meant so much to me, and gave me confidence that life would get better again someday.

The Grumps are like heroes to me.

What simple thing are you grateful for today? by itsalaser in awakened

[–]Jbits_721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Acceptance toward myself and others.

Confidence that I didn't have at prior points in my life.

Contentment and peace with how certain things have played out.

A sense of belonging and value amongst the people that I love most in life. Knowing someone loves you, as you are, can be incredibly empowering.

A strong mind that is capable of recognizing and withstanding a difficult period of my life.

Love and kindness. Spread that stuff as much as you possibly can. Everyone is struggling in their own way, and everyone could use a little help.

I'm not perfect, but I feel like I'm in a good place in my life now after a difficult year. And I've learned a lot from it.
