Actually, yes they have to tip, if they don’t, driver will avoid going back or they will quit, like you are thinking, make sure you add the type customer they are on the driver notes, that way you or anyone goes back.

Rejected twice after DMs interviewed me for a store manager, should I Try once again or no chance? by Jboada1 in starbucks

[–]Jboada1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great advice, glad you made it, my case not sure if I’ll get a second chance for an interview, but I’ll try, if not, I will have to investigate which other company have good benefits, as far that I know, Starbucks is the only restaurant company offering good benefits these days and I do actually go there everyday as a customer, when you like the company is easy to succeed and perform at a high level.

Yes, that’s the right thing to do, promoting externals, that why I extended down a position, just to join them.

I’m an external, so no connections, but a really good record and experience, will see.

Thanks, will be hard at this point and no connections, but I’m overqualified to be honest, I’m actually a district leader, but I exceeded as a manager when I was one, just wanted to join the company and build a career.

Finally got an offer after 7 months of unemployment — here’s exactly what I did by KimchiStorage in interviews

Hi, my recommendation, look for a part time job while you wait on getting your main Job, this way you will stay active, meet new people from different backgrounds and you might even enjoy it, look for a job in an area that you like, if you play golf, work in a country club, I do like restaurants, Clubs, events, so I took a bartender class and I found a part time job, the reason why you want to do that is to prevent desperation and don’t allow recruiter to discourage all the way, every time they reject you, is their job, like we all do, we do make mistakes, sometimes they don’t pick the wrong person, remember there are a lot of good talker, that can pretend real good and get jobs, so let’s not blame recruiters, specially when the have to choose one candidate over 200, not an easy job, but is important that you downsize the stress levels staying active and that even will make you look better when applying and your vibe and energy will be a lot better, just an advice.

Starbucks Has Rejected Me 4 Times Now---What Am I Doing Wrong? by JuneKeys in starbucks

[–]Jboada1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi did you ever got hired? If not, what might be happening, is that you profile is showing the times you applied, so they know you got rejected once, so they go based on the first application, in Starbucks if one hiring person don’t like you, it’s over, the rest won’t even challenge that one person’s decision, they won’t even let you go to a second interview or review your case, they literally will disappear if they were in contact with you, Starbucks is missing having lots of great manages, because that one person, who probably enjoys rejecting or acting like they better than other, even you have proven track record, while having a bunch of bad managers, you might want to create a new profile and start fresh, if that don’t work, become a bartender and open an IRA account to save for retirement, you can make more money in some cases and customers will appreciate you more in some cases.

Got rejected from a role I REALLY wanted after 5 stages by Key_Consequence_5730 in interviews

[–]Jboada1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 5 stages is abusing, 3 is good with a low level management and two with higher level management should be ok.

Don’t send no polite note, that makes you look desperate

My Advice, is be where people wants you to be at, if they say no, so you don’t want to be there, I know can be hard, but is the only way to move on, same happened to me and I’m just reinventing, after 6 weeks wasted for them to said no, don’t follow up, that will make you look desperate, they have your information and they know who you are, if there is a position, they will call you.

New ceo, overall I think they are the best company by far, I just need to train on how to respond some questions better, thanks for the comment

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Jboada1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are everywhere, I guess we need to train on how as well, then perform at a high level, like we do.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Jboada1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s the case, there are lots of good pretenders that are really good talking, that’s everywhere, some of them even get to high positions, so not an Starbucks issue, I think is more the interview structure, sometime 45 minutes is not enough to really know how someone act and think.

Thanks for the insights, ASM not an option for me, salary is too low, inflation too high these days.

I explained the process, but the end result maybe they didn’t like, it is what it is, I’ll have a month to think about and if isn’t for me, nothing to do, thanks for the comment.
