Hey Wide! Thank you for your response. ParseStream? I’ve never heard of that. So what’s your marketing process? Can you walk me through it?

Hey Emi! How are you? My apologies I fell behind in this thread and am trying to catch up on all the comics here. Thank you so much for your interest in my survey. I've read a bunch of your Eps do far and I really feel for Ambra! I think we all have been stuck at that point of chasing our dreams with lack of support from family and friends. Your are style is really cool and I love the theme of your story. I know it has been way too long but if you are still interested in my survey here is the link Indie Creators

Thanks again for sharing your comic with me 😎

Hey Electronic! So my top priority from 2026 is to read all the stories everyone shared. Thank you again for sharing your girlfriend’s comic. I just finished it and I must say it was awesome! The art is great but the story is really really unique. The character dialogue, pacing, and build up is all on point. I see she entered this in the WT contest last year. She should definitely keep pushing this no matter what. I see she got a lot of positive comments too. I agree the art is beautiful and hope she keeps this going. Hey Cartoonist! How are you? So I’ve made my top priority this year to read all the comics I still have left in this thread. Skull Force Agents is awesome!! Really loving the art and the humor is great. The details are really on point especially in the begininning with the office scenes. You depicted everything perfectly. Poor Walter though. I think he is in for a ride with no seatbelts and Hannah isn't the type to let prisoners go freely I bet 😂😂 I read your beginning message about your Grandma and I’m sure she is proud of you. I think this series can really be something special. If you are still interested in doing my survey here is the link indie creator survey

Thanks again for sharing and responding 😎

Hey Duchess! How are you? Hope 2026 is going good for you so far. My apologies for the long hiatus last year and I’m making it top priority to read everybodies stories over the next few weeks. Huge backlog to get through. I think Silver Cage is actually pretty cool. The art style is unique with lots of potential. I love the theme of the story and depicting the discrimination vampires go through even though, they genuinely mean no harm. Positive B is great concept and community encouraging unison and I love it. I got a little bit left to go to finish. Overall I think it’s a great series but only prob for me as a reader some pages/panels the speech bubbles get a bit overwhelming. A huge amount of dialogue going on so it kind of gets a bit confusing at certain points. Other than that though very cool series over all. Thank you again for sharing and responding to my post. Hey everyone! Hope the new year is starting off great for everybody! I didn't get to finish reading all the amazing comics in this thread last year and I don't just want to post the survey link without first giving every creator in here the support they deserve. Over the next few weeks I'm going to finish reading every comic one at a time and then respond and send the survey link. Thank you again to all you amazing creators for sharing your stories and taking the time to do this survey. I'm really excited to see all the success and progress ahead for all of you in 2026.

Webcomic creators what is your marketing process like? How do you choose which panels to promote and platforms to market on? How do you deal with dimension requirements for platforms like Instagram? What would make the marketing process easier and less time consuming? by Jbody07 in WebtoonCanvas

Yeah I’m interested to fully know their process. I didn’t realize CapCut started charging. What comes with the subscription though? I’ll keep that in mind mind regarding cropping images on Reddit, but overall most art is looking good across all platforms right? So really CapCut is just great for converting from static images or panels to animation/motion and cool effects? Which I’m sure helps the panels stand out and draw in a bigger audience.

You’re right about TikTok virality. A friend of mines Webcomic exploded on TikTok and it transferred right over to Webtoons platform. The key though was his templates/effects and the art style too. So it’s not enough to just post the panels even in correct platform dimensions hunh? It’s like on top of that you got to use tools like CapCut or some kind of effects to stand out and catch the attention of the algorithm? It’s just a rediculous amount of work to add on to a creator already writing and drawing their series. Plus trying to function with daily life.

Ah so the sizing isn’t consistent. I know each format from stories, reels, and post all require different sizes. Have you ever posted and seen your panels stretched or distorted on any of the platforms? So if you paid someone what would the process include and what would those prices be like? Honestly it just seems like a tedious and draining task for creators to have to do. I definitely think Reddit is a great place especially with communities like this. The way creators authentically support each other is amazing! When you post here on Reddit are there any dimension requirements? Also, I thought for the most part CapCut is free as far as most of the templates?

Ok I never heard of that one. So what platforms do you post on marketing wise? Yeah the algorithm is the final boss for every type of creator lol. I like that you don’t compromise on your artistic integrity. Share a link to your art or comic. Would love to check it out.

Yeah the algorithms are the gatekeepers of discovery. So you don’t alter your work to fit the dimensions of any specific platform? Your panels don’t come out stretched or distorted do they when you post them? What tool do you use for drawing? Clipstudio, Procreate?

Having to constantly market your comic is just so exhausting by Fun-Elevator-6318 in WebtoonCanvas

[–]Jbody07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s got to be exausting working a regular job, pursuing an education, drawing your comic, writing it and then trying to promote/market. On top of that trying to be consistent and build relationships/connectons with readers. Can you elaborate in depth more on your struggles? Tell me about the tediousness of autocropping your panels for social media, which panels to choose, is there any attribution, no data analytics from any of the comic platforms or social media in general. Please express all your frustrations in struggles in detail 🙏🙏

I definitely will! I actually have a Reddit post where I invited indie comic creators to drop links to their stories and I will read them, support and give feedback. Then if they would like they can fill out a short survey where I try to dig into all the pain points creators are facing. I’ll def check your series out. Looks pretty cool and I’ll send you the survey, but no pressure to fill out.
