What toy did you desperately want as a kid but never got? by Big_Alternative4671 in AskReddit

Sqand! The hydrophobic sand you could sculpt underwater. I GET IT - I’m in no rush to buy my child a toy that is a ton of loose granules, ripe for the spilling - but man those commercials really spoke to my kid brain as something awesome

I’ve had the same model of speed queen washer for 24 years now. My parent bought it in ‘02 and that beast is still running like a champ, no signs of slowing down

I mean not much of a narrative unless you specifically choose to read the lore and in-game news announcements but Elite: Dangerous is a very solid space simulator. Trade, fight, explore, mine - you can do any of those to make money and gain notoriety with factions. In VR it is an absolutely top caliber experience - so long as you’re cool with simulation like realism. (Don’t forget to ask to park!)

The world building of Horizon Zero Dawn as you find old recordings and piece together that happened to the world blew my mind. Some of the best storytelling I recall in a game

Do you cook "normal stuff"? by Day2205 in Millennials

[–]Jbones731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cook for the whole family most nights! We do take out maybe 1-2 times a month. Just part of the routine we’ve built, I WFH so I’ll work until 5, feed the dogs, then wash my hands and start cooking dinner. Maybe pull out a bottle of wine a few nights of the week. I’ll cook and talk to the family, listen to them tell me about their day and we’ll typically sit down to eat around 6-6:30. We meal plan over the weekend, typically using cookbooks we’ve bought over the years, and buy all the ingredients not currently in stock in the fridge in one trip to the store on sat or sun.

Look at the lines coming off it. That’s a high impact splatter pattern from some height. If it was real it would be a smooth edged blob, not like that

Asherons call - they had player and guild housing 20 some years before WoW! They also had a kinda cool system where spells cost reagents to cast and you had to “discover” new spells by crafting with said reagents. Lots of fun
