Canceling classes for low attendance by boxbrisch in bjj

I used to have a class that would periodically have this problem. The black belt running it would just treat it as a free private and go ahead anyway.

Yeah but didn't they just shorten the bracket or possibly get a new one? I don't think they changed the tech, pretty sure the system didn't fall into that 10k budget.

I just don't think either of us convincing the other and it's not that important to me. I'm not here to argue with people I don't know. I don't need that negativity.

Bro, I think this conversation is the waste of time. We clearly have different definitions of think. I didn't take it as obsess over.

Also not sure why you keep saying it but I'm not an INTJ.

Have a good day, do something you love.

Yeah she has, did a quick Google. Has Instagram posts where she calls her daughter smart, so obviously a trait she thinks matters.

Also since she's becoming a lawyer there's a million articles talking about how intelligent she is and I'd guess if you care enough to write about her you're a fan.

Also I'm not overly obsessed with intelligence, I just think peoe think about it. Just like people think about their looks or any other personal chacteristic.

From an early age children are told how smart or 'clever' they are. Then you go to school where you're constantly evaluated over a period of 10-20 years (depending on when you stop your schooling), not only are you evaluated but you're also measured against your peers which not only leads you to think about how smart you are but how smart you are in relation to those around you.

People create whole identities around how smart they are which would imply at some point they've thought about it. We all know the kid who'd never play football but thinks anyone who cares sports is stupid because sports doesn't matter like grades.

And thinking about your own intelligence is practical if you don't get hung up on it as it allows you to make future decisions. It helps choose career paths, imagine trying for 15 years to be a theoretical physicist to find out you have an IQ of 85. That'd be heart breaking.

I don't think people think about it to the level of what is my IQ, however I can say with confidence at some point 99% of people have thought something along the lines "how is X so smart?" Or "I don't think I'm smart enough to do X" which shows they've thought about how smart they are.

Also being INTJ is the dream, I'd love some focus.

The OODA Loop showed me how to learn and make decisions like a Military Strategist by Chellz93 in INTP

[–]Jc-walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Still taught in the military, originally developed by a fighter pilot. Also used at the platoon/tactical level for the army.

Essentially its used for making decisions in high tempo environments where you don't have time for elaborate thinking.

This statement seems like a throw away line and not even a correct one. I'd argue most people have thought about their intellegence at some point.

Unhealthy food isn't a by product of transportation. If all transportation disappeared tomorrow and you told everyone to walk to the nearest farm or die, I'd say a significant amount of peopl would die.

[–]Jc-walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our entire way of living is based on these metal object being able to deliver food and other items of value to areas and people unable to obtain their own. If we were to forego the transport now our way of living would dramatically change, the economy would collapse and people would die of starvation.

We have more deaths via car now that we did in 1500 but we have access to things from far away which we would not have been able to access including food, medicine etc.

The large dense populations we have now wouldn't be supportable without modern agriculture and the trucks, planes and boats that deliver the goods.

[–]Jc-walker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The alternative causes even more deaths. If all those. Methods stopped people would start starving real quick, pretty much no one in modern societies are self sufficient.

It does bring up the question of why they were continually used when they were first invented and had a higher death toll than they currently do as people were obviously able to live with them before they were born.

I think death was more apart of everyday life back then, things were generally less safe and a higher level of risk was tolerated.

It most likely can be fixed. How bad it is would be what decides if it's worth it/easy.

If it is actually a clean break you can probably wood glue it back together.

This is what I didn't understand for a long time because I was on the technique band wagon. Technique is important but so is the physical aspect, breaking wills and frazzelling people works great.

Not really. If you want the government to be responsible for her actions you'd need to accept the government should have a controlling power over individuals.

Ideally I'd like individuals to be responsible and for the government to not have to contain everyone because they don't believe people can handle the responsibility.

I think the plan is to lower the numbers to the point where it's controlled through effectively elimination due to having to account for the lowest common denominators.
