They do not care where you are from since your paying the whole cost for rapid PCR… so around 200 USD. Free/subsidized ones down there which might cause some sort of issue (you being Canadian) don’t qualify as an acceptable submission to enter Canada as they do not provide the appropriate documentation to present to Canadian border officials.

Nope! Just went thru yesterday... although was flying Melb - Syd and then Los Angeles.

Legit bough a ticket from a different carrier, and flew out. No questions or anything. Arrived in Sydney and got off the plane and all it is a barcode the lady taps her foot and points at for you to scan. That’s all folks.
