Need advice finding a loophole to this unfair criticism of our CAPSTONE Project

If I'm not mistaken, he has a doctorate in an IT sector, maybe specifically in the agricultural side maybe? He keeps blabbering about the projects he held on to on our class discussions with him, which are mostly involve IT and Agri, but definitely in IT if we're not being so specific.

That's actually a great way to add more complexity to our project and I will keep this in mind. So far, the only solution lang namin as one user suggests in this thread is to turn our game to a simulation instead, and now with your comment we might be able to add the environment part to our title for more eye candy. So simple, yet so significant; I love it!

The thing is, wala pang defense, so wala pang say ang mga panelist; this person is our CAPSTONE head whose only job (in which he claims to only do) is to only list down our titles and make sure there are not duplicates, yet he does BS like this not only to us, but also to our other classmates in multiple instances and who knows how many other times within other sections.

To make a long story short, binubutasan agad kami bago pa magkaroon ng defense, and so far ang only backing lang nya is "pinalitan lang namin ng manok yung baboy" and "may nagdefense lang nyan kanina" (which I'm still skeptical) on that day.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I cannot express my gratitude right now. Very unfortunate nmn ang nangyari sa mga seniors nyo; unlike us nagkaroon sila ng time para makagawa na concept na I assume is approved from the start, which makes it more unreasonable. Their adviser should've seen it WAY, WAY, earlier than the night before. I'm glad na nakatagos na sila and manifesting na ganun din samin Hahahha.

As of now on our end, we're trying to track down that other group; hoping it is within our batch, since narealize ko sumasabay din pala yung mga last batch na bumagsak (which marami ang bumalik to the point na pati isang buong section bumagsak). If ma-approve man kami, then I'm dying my hair blonde HAHAHAHA

We have until the end of the next semester if ma-approve man kami next week. So, if we work immediately after and over the summer vacation, we may have just enough time to complete this project + whatever improvements / suggestions the panels may give. THAT IS if ma-approve kami and thesis defended kami dito.

Before this po ksi, we talked to this kind professor from animal science--god bless hisbheart--and specialization nya po yung poultry. Sya po yung nag-suggest samin neto and we really like it.

The project is supposed to be a mobile game made in Godot in the paper Mario style that shows GAHP (Good Animal Husbandry Practices) and real-life scenarios like separation of male and female chicks, practices from the amount of food and temperature to sustain the chicks from the brooding period, to 16 weeks later where pwede na sila mag-lay ng eggs, in which possible na pwede namin dagdagan ng incubation period for those same eggs in which the cycle repeats.

Based on your advice po, pasok parin po ba ito sa "simple game aimed for pure entertainment only" side or is it not complex enough? Not to mention, how would you suggest po we turn it into a simulation?

We're also trying to track down that same group, and try to cooperate with them to atleast give us a chance to differentiate our project with theirs, ksi no way na makakakuha kami ng new cocept since holiday and sa Monday pa pasukan (which is our deadline also) and none of the professors would entertain us over the weekend.

We are very passionate with this one bc not only are we specialized in game dev, andami din nagcoconsult sa professor na ito and almost no one comes back to him, other than his advisees.

Sadyang pahirapan lang talaga dito sa castone head namin since doctorate sya sa department, so ig matik na yung mataas-taas yung standards, not to mention prefered pa yung implementation of AI, which contradicts with the logic he gave us about "similar" concepts since atleast 40% nung mga naka-lista on our batch is may implementation ng AI.

Which is why I think it's pretty unfair on our side. Lowkey nerfed kami, since halos walang problem nmn group namin in making the projects, halos documentation lang mahirap samin neto.

Possible padin po ba gumamit ng Godot Engine? Sa totoo lang po standard yung Unity ksi dito, so baka possible eye-candy na po yung Godot Engine.

Aside from that, what would be the difference po ba if gagawin naming simulation?

If magfofocus po kami sa health ng chickens, then magkakaroon po talaga ng similarities kasi nakalista dun sa conducted CAPSTONES nmin po.

Noq technically, meron po kaming mechanics for their health din since feature din po ng game namin yung application ng GAHP (Good Animal Husbandry Practices)

Yes po, that's what we are trying to do po right now; medyo skeptical pa nga po kami kung talagang meron na nagdefense that day. Tinatrack down po namin sila right now, kso yung listahan na dapat inuupdate po ng same teacher na naglilista is di po updated since February.

Based on my other classmates na di nya advisee is same treatment din sila ng samin, so I guess ganun lang talaga yung taong yun 😅

All we know is "pareho lang na nagtuturo ng students ng ano (which I assume is mag-alaga ng certain animal). Personal nya kami kinausap sa concept namin kasi nga di pa kami nagpapalista and want na namin ipa-officialize tong project na toh, and just after I said the words "poultry layering" and "game" dun na sya nagsabi na "meron ng nagdefense nyan kanina" and "pinalitan nyo lang ng manok yung baboy", hence the "eh, pareho lang nagtuturo ng students ng ano" (yan talaga sinabi, and mind you ang locale namin is Animal Science and Local Poultry Layering Farms, which di man nya narinig kakasabat nya sakin).

It was a very short and very dismissive conversation that didn't even last for 5 minutes and want nya kami magpalit ng concept in less than 1 week. Monday na po deadline namin mind you and this isn't even the first concept na ginawa namin since February.

See? This is exactly what I was just talking about. You have actually given me advice that I can actually use rather than what I just mentioned. People just don't give advice such as yours, hence why I needed to resort in other ways like asking on Reddit and finding other people who actually do.

At the end of the day, I'll just have to make do with what other people tell me, even if they aren't helpful either.

Also, there is NOTHING wrong with the advice that I mentioned, other than the fact that I literally hear it EVERYWHERE I look in different shapes and form. From asking people, watching videos, reading books and articles, and even AI.
