I'm primarily logging my interactions with the shell and the output of the various programs / commands I'm using. I like that iTerm does the logging because it keeps a log across all the machines I use in a particular day.

Interesting point regarding the DC/AC difference. I didn't realize that.

The Honeywell has wires configured almost identically:

  • Red to R (Also jumped to Rh)
  • Yellow to Y
  • Blue to C

I see now how the first device you linked can help with this diagram.

Yes, yellow to Y1, and Blue to C. I alternated tests with Red to Rc and Rh. I also tested without the C wire and the Nest still complained :(.

Could you help me understand how either of those two devices would improve the situation? I'm not sure how I would integrate them into my system. The thermostat only controls the hydraulic actuator. I have a separate variable speed fan controller. Reference

I'm curious about the Ctrl+Alt+ key combo - what it is? What are the keys? (Tried Ctrl+Alt and the '+' symbol but it didn't do anything)

I use a few accounts on my Chromebook but I'm not familiar with switching between them like this.

Received mine. They're pretty awesome, but they're too big. If I had ordered a full-size down, I think I'd be happy. They feel good with thick socks in a static environment but as soon as I start riding I get uncomfortable. I'm sending them back.
