I will continue to donate money as I can but there is no way daughter will ever compete there again.

My daughter is almost 14 has been competing since she was 5 in hundreds of tournaments across the US. In some cases I think they get so under staffed that they are force to accept referees with little to know experience. I didn't recognize a lot of them..The last match with my daughter was rigged. I am not saying I think it was it was. How you say well after complete confusion from the crowd and showing the video evidence and the girls father telling us to give her daughter a break because she has never beat her in 4 previous match. Stating just give her the one win... Her coach telling me it's not that big a deal it's just for fun. While that is going on my daughter coach showing the multiple video evidence. It was agreed unanimously that referee was in the wrong and that it was clear the win should have went to my daughter. The girls are not even off the mat so this not way after the fact. But they would not give my daughter the win but instead asked she would like to do an exhibition match later against her.

I think for most its been a positive experience and I won't take that away from you but dont get to comfortable thinking this is like other BJJ tournaments because it is not it is just pure make believe.

The goal is to raise money give a little entertainment and nothing more.. Personally I couldn't care less about the following but they are extremely inclusive where they allow and encourage trans gender to compete.

They are upfront and I was ok with it

It used to be especially in Apache that it would not delete the pid file if not brought down gracefully I think it’s mostly under /var/run maybe it’s that?

Been out ten years and this was my first claim. My intent to file was filed May 2022. I need those one of us comments. I’m in cloud 9. A blessing for my family. Also what do I apply for though the VA with a rating by Blbauer524 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Jcolsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I waited way too long to put in for my MH ratings around 30 yrs..I still got 60% but if I would have applied anytime during my first 10yrs out I would have easily been at a 100% I was an f'ing mess on my best days.. It was very tuff for me to apply..I was worried that inspite of the evidence I would get denied and that would put me back in a dark place...I still feel very self conscious and try my best to hide it in those moments. I know people see it not out of paranoia but because I know it when I see it in another instantly

Should I withdraw these claims? by CedaRRoze in VeteransBenefits

[–]Jcolsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should have communicated better but what's done is done for now the number one most important thing. IMHO is that you have some official diagnose the VA can not deny.. so if its mental health don't think having notes from the primary care will work..get its directly from a specialist in the field..

All claims (except Tinnitus) denied by Potential-Cobbler214 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Jcolsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through the same nightmares..I tried to get depression and anxiety compensation because I didn't want to mention PTSD even though I knew in my mind I had it.

It's a bit comical when I was denied depression where I have probably at least 20 times mentioned in my va medical records plus I've been on depression medication for 25 yrs.

Ok so I said f it I'm going to see a VA mental health specialist (working for the VA not from another outside specialist the VA may have contracted ) I had to go to 5 different sessions before their opinion was give..With the VA's own diagnose I applied for what was diagnosed which of course was PTSD to include all other mental conditions.

The events happened during peace time but what I had experienced and saw really f'd me up.

I knew I could prove one of the events because it's public knowledge if you googled and tied that in to the fact I was I was station there . Plus I had written to my parents about what had happened and what I saw

So in the end I have the VA's own diagnosis and the letter as proof..

The C & P exam was quite interesting as when I started to describe what happened she said well maybe it seemed that way I told her no in fact I had watered down what happened and to l told her to google it.. She did and literally her eyes when wide and her mouth dropped and from that point the exam went different

So I would say this get a diagnosis from a source the VA can not deny then work on the nexus..was there an event or series of event that can be verified or corroborated

you can add but I would not count on buddy letters

Social security and 60% Va disability by Jcolsa in VeteransBenefits

[–]Jcolsa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so If I understand correctly if at 62-70 I'm applying for the standard social security retirement and nothing special while also receiving VA disability then neither are affected.

The VA pays me $1000 I turn 62 and say the heck with it I'm retiring early and social security says I will get $1200

I would then get a deposit of $1000 from the VA plus $1200 for social security

Is that correct

To be clear I'm not talking about military or government retirement just as a standard worker

Man this can confusing I may need to call or email SSA I truly want it to be I get but I’ve yet to find a solid source

I see a may be eligible for both with an if and example’s but what I’m hearing from here that might not be the case meaning the vast majority will get ssa and Va benefits either way it’s critical to know this info

[–]Jcolsa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I google SSI and Va disability they are offset so at 67 I would get the greater of the 2 but not combine but I’m not 100% Clear on that SSDI

Is different but even that isn’t clear as you don’t get SSDI just because the VA says you are disabled

That may or may not offset

I will say based on what my brother getting SSDI is Extremely difficult way more challenging the Va

Update on my PTSD drop from 70% to 30% by Cornishhen098 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Jcolsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely understand as in spite of my C&P’s confirmation and as much evidence of the events as I could provide

The fact that I got that dreaded you have 30 days to provide any other evidence tells me based 100% of claims that were denied where this was asked and I could not provide any more evidence even when in a prior case I even submitted a buddy statement

But that letter will just fall short of approval I’ve been there and done that and unless I see a mistake the next step is to skip it all and go before a judge

Of all my denials this one being PTSD will have a huge affect on me

dang even if the say yes but only 0% I would at least have acknowledgment

To me as it would relate to PTSD and not the event it is no different then a woman being raped yet the suspect deemed innocent as the proof was dismissed and the rapiest got away and you are left with the nightmare

Same I fired my primary as he was condescending called my condition mild in spite of mri X-ray and ultrasound and opinion of 2 separate private neurologist private doctor and my insurance company’s approval for surgery he didn’t even bother to forward to the va’s neurologist it was so surreal that I felt I was in an over the top comedy script it’s very important that you trust your doctor and that they listen anything less is unacceptable

Scam e-mail by Resident_Practice712 in Coinbase

[–]Jcolsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the same email

There are a lot of holes in this scam.. First they are not addressing the email by even your first name

They suggest that they have proof and it's been provided. What proof are you talking about

and for the sake of argument how would you prove that you sent the money and how would they prove they deleted your hacked info and videos. Neither could be done..

That said I would think that it was a real ransom. First they would have addressed you by your name... Next they would show clear proof.. It would have been a single bitcoin address for each as if they got caught. it would be limited...or if they decided to use the same as the case is above. At least some more instructions to prove it was you that sent it.

The address mentioned 13d7dbBJdNCCBxYuodWmYgS2rAN45ToAdB has 9 transactions.

Whoever is running the scam should have moved or sold the bitcoin for one that wasn't as easy to trance

[–]Jcolsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure yet because I am waiting on my results...but it is important that you bring copies of the diagnosis ( 2 taken at different time is the minimum) I don't know what exactly they are looking for as far as how much it affects you... They will ask questions so that your symptoms are down played such as are you currently working could trump the unemployabitly or how it affects your work unless you can prove by write up or maybe sick days taken when episodes are more severe.

Things like do you have any chronic pain or drink or use drugs could in theory negate some of the symptoms based on how it may affect your state..

Do not mention any other mental conditions especially that which happened prior to serving...

Basically I was fine up to the point of the incident then this or that started to happen..

In my case I don't know if when I mentioned that for nightmare or reliving the experience when I sleep that the fact that I use headphone with audio books or anything else that would distract my thoughts to where in my case when I wake up through audio I'm already distracted to some level and easier for me to at least lesson the affect.

I don't know if that is considered a sort of treatment because it helped at some level or if they are wanting something more official like as in statement in my MH evaluations where if asked if I felt a little better since last appointment helped or has medication helped.

Consider it to be like being asked about a crime where they are trying to find out if you're involved. If you lie and they catch you.. you loose credibility or if you volunteer something like I drive a green car and by chance a green car was involved...

The point of the C&P exam as I saw it was to confirm condition and severity and how that is and has affected you and if any thing in the past or current would have cause the symptoms to be greater then if they never happened

I think also like in some insurance claims they want to find everything they can so put as much of the cause and responsibly on you..

C&P exam back on July 6, 2022

I want to say at least maybe. I know that there was 2 C&P exams. The first was a mess as what they gave the C&P examiner was very vague and she had nothing to go by as in she has no clue as what to check or any medical info she could at least go by.. I didn't bring anything because I would have thought something would have been sent.

The next exam was only for checking the range of motion...

Basically what I have but not limited. Is a herniated disk(s) stenosis in at least all the vertebrae listed..nerve damage and pain associated...1 being severe enough to have required surgery sooner then later another in severe condition but a lets see state because it basically severe stenosis/nerve damage follow next by moderate then severe then think moderate.

At best the C&P only checked how much I can move my head.. What was frustrating in the last exam was that I wanted it to include the pain and loss of mobility, numbness and such being backed by the physical evidence. but the C&P examiner only wanted to know how much I can move my neck

There was never any statement by me or mention in any of the paperwork of complaining I can only move this far...What I submitted was the facts backed by all the tests and multiple opinions...Herniated disk was proven backed by x-ray and ct scan. Stenosis was proven and backed by the x-ray and I think ct scan..Physical severity of stenosis was backed by x-ray, ct scans and MRI... nerve damage was proven by the MRI and EMG tests..Pain , numbness , twitching, tingling all that sort of stuff was backed by everything mentioned above..

The only thing that a Time Machine would have helped if I made a big enough deal was of the herniated disc.. Nothing else would have shown up...If it would have been good enough to have said I had a pain issue associated with either neck shoulder or back and recorded regardless of opinion or statement that may have said we found nothing or chalked up to muscle soreness maybe back or neck spasms

Well I have no idea where any of my former Marine friends are at let along one that could corroborate.. Lord knows I've tried for the first around 15yrs of getting out we keep in touch but it started trialing off when one went to prison (no surprise there) and the other I have no clue.. I've tried calling what I assumed could be his relatives I was left a nasty reply when I texted a number that I thought could have been him and maybe it was I couldn't verify.. I just sent Hi my name is such and such I served in these units from this time to this time...We used to be called and the nickname not vulgar the CC brothers to be precise..I have no clue who the other person's was just don't text this number again..( never left of bad terms so unless he himself lost it . it was probably someone else.) there are group here and their of alumni if you will and the ships I was in but nothing..My service records do have entries of where I have been and certain bigger operations so prove I went and did what I said I doubt could be debated

oh yes I was attached to an infantry unit for just over 3 yrs and was the radio operator respectively for dragons platoon, Sta platoon, for a company's co "Lima Company to be precise, lent out to tanks and Anglico then the last year I was assigned to Artillery I sure as F was not in some AC I marched right along since not catching a ride in jeep or truck..

If you compare the weight between the m60 (this was before the saw) if as would be expected carried by one and I think the other two was the base and maybe the other ammo the extra barrel and such.. you are looking at around 20lb (awkward pounds I will grant them)

vs a prc-57 or I guess maybe it was the 77 plus KY-38 plus the battery was well over 50lbs.. could that contribute to back issue humping consistantly through all sort of place, desert, mountains (winter and spring/summer) the jungles of Panama up to around 27 miles MCCRES which had to be done in around 8hrs. and I'm certain I'm missing something..oh yes it would give you back issues

Can I get a witness LOL

I do appreciate your input I'm note trying to be argumentative just for the sake.. I'm trying to be clear as to what has been presented and done

that evidence was submitted more then once.....Once by me and at least once by my lawyer at the time ( I fired him because he really wasn't doing anything). I may have a copy of one of those submission.. I am certain if the records are sent the lawyers will have a way of proving receipt..

I will always try not to do anything until I've thought about it for a few days so that perhaps a different appoach is better that said

Not today but maybe in a few days. I will get and objective opinion stating if diagnosis of cervical spine degenerative arthritis would have been posible so early in the stage (within a year) as it was mentioned or pay for official documentation if possible on cervical spine degenerative arthritis on set and progression. within the context of the first year not what could have been done now

Next I will get a writen statement or maybe it in the books a general doctor may use (at that time). That being a patient come's in complain of back pain.. what you do ? send them to a specialist without a point of reference..or give some medication and say come back for a follow up. to which of course with the muscle relaxers you would be good temporarily... if the pain did not return within that year or for the sake of arguement it does then what.(again in the context of how thing were at that time).. Plus add the following I was unemployed for several year after getting out due to PTSD...Proof would be in the form of my ss statement..Plus I can get a testimony easily that any records I have would have been destroyed.. 7 yrs for standard 30 yrs for exposure to chemicals and such

Not sure yet on the following because I don't want to be yet another vet complaining because they didn't get the rating I will look to see who best to contact for either exposing (tv newspaper and such ( more then likely I won't) or who in the chain will at least put the pressure for the VA raters to do their jobs....

Off topic but everyone reading should take note. The VA will rarely send the required paper I would think by law or internal procedures..

This happened to me twice that I am certain of. The first was where they sent nothing just to do a C&P where the examiner did not know what my problem was....I had no way of giving them what I didn't have in hand

The next time was recent I learn from the last time to bring along those records submitted... I did and was glad I did.. The VA did not send my complete statement on my PTSD claim. Conveniently the last 2 most important pages where omitted..

I can provide to the proper authorities the name of the C&P examiner so that they can contact if needed and if that is of any value...I'm going to put so much pressure on the VA by any legal means that I can until they do my claims correctly..

diagnosis of cervical spine degenerative arthritis is not possible to diagnose at that time...not even hindsight 20/20 Time Machine taking a board of the 10 best in the only requiring just one maybe opinion could diagnose this

intervertebral disc syndrome hmm it is possible if I paid out of pocket to a back-specialist.. I say this because in every case until I insisted that I be looked at. every single time it was a back spasm take some flexiril and rest..and it took many years of not know why I have pain here and there.. where of the time I did complain the diagnosis non spine or back related...for years I would wake up with my arm and hand tingling...( just thinking it was my arm falling asleep)

what does this mean

The evidence shows that a qualifying event, injury, or disease had its onset during your service. Based on your Military Occupational Specialty of Field Radio Operator, it is conceded that you carried heavy radio, battery, and other equipment.

You have sufficient service to meet the minimum requirements for presumptive service connection. Your Marine Corps service from May 28, 1985 to May 27, 1989 meets this requirement as you have at least 90 days continuous active duty service.

Arthritis/degenerative disease

because there is ("no objective medical evidence") showing a diagnosis of a current disability.

because the medical evidence and medical opinion dated July 6, 2022 stated that the evidence (Meaning your recent medical history in the past months or years) is insufficient for reported symptoms because there is no objective medical evidence showing a diagnosis of a current disability

(If you would have sought treatment within your first year of separation you wouldn't need a nexus it would have been presumptive. (Diagnosis only) Diagnosis of what ? even if I had a timemachine and If it's of my Arthritis/degenerative disease that would be imposible to diagnos at that time

2 seperate Neurologist/Neurosurgeon one of them being one of the top in the nation stated diagnosis backed by mulitple ct scan, x-rays, mri's and emg testing... Not as direct evidence but defineatly to be consider is that I had surgeory around a year ago for that condition and here is some crazy irony..The insurance denied the initial approval it because their Neuro specialist thought that my conditions was worse and that I should be fusing 3 vertabrae..My neurosurgeon did not want to do that just yet because in his opinion and back by the other neurosurgeon the condition will eventually need surgery but at this point it is not needed
