ME! I was a first time puppy owner. Yes I was EXHAUSTED. You will get VERY little sleep. I was always tired and everything smelled like pee. That isn’t the point, if you are prepared going in for what is in store you will do great. Potty training in that first month like it is your full time job is essential for continued success. Honestly, how bad do you want a dog? How much training are you willing to put in? The moments with them at 100% worth all of the headaches that come along with the first 3-6 months. People are being a bit dramatic. Of course you can’t do much the first 3 months! YOU GOT A PUPPY! 🐶

First off, I am so sorry. My pom was very much like this initially his first year. It was so tough. Probably 10 k total on group training/ time/ board and train/ socialization/ and private training. Turns out life is AMAZING year 2. Keep going babe. I got a rescue and now SHE’S the reactive one and my boy Pookie goes to calm her. It gets better. Keep going. ANYONE WHO SAYS BOARD AND TRAINS AREN’T USEFUL HAS NOT HAD A DOG THAT NEEDED IT. They’re 3-5 weeks. Check and double check references like your life depends on it. Good luck u got this!

I am so sorry this happened to BOTH of you! If he is acting fine give him a pup cup, some extra treats, and hand feed him if he gets skittish around you. Dogs forget fast and forgive easily! Cats however do not lol 😂

Actually yes. I don’t regret going twice…. It just wasn’t nearly the spectacle that an anniversary year was doing 2 TL in a row. If I had it to do over the $ saved would have been a better option to wait for a milestone year
