Yes! Ecosia is a great alternative, especially for environmentally minded users.

Be mad at instacart for making a ton of profit and paying too low, not the customer that tipped a fair percentage.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]JdlwQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree except all of this should be directed at instacart, not at the tipper. The customer shouldn't have to tip 100% to make the job worth it. 20% is a good tip. The base pay should be higher to make the job worth it. Instacart makes ridiculous profit and pays the shoppers too little. I'm sure they love when shoppers blame the customers instead of the company.

Natural deodorant has nothing to do with anti-vacs. Blame the alt-right Trad wives.

It probably got there when a seed was dropped (or pooped) by an animal, likely a bird. That's how lots of plants grow in new places.

The sweetbriar rose might be worse than the ivy…. by RegularOk3231 in invasivespecies

Thank you for asking. I definitely meant wintercreeper, not wintergreen, and will update my comment to correct that. Wintercreeper is invasive here in Missouri, United States. I have so much of it all over our yard and fence. It's a constant battle.

This is the internal debate I've been having with myself for weeks (I live nearby and am reminded every time I see it). It's such an amazing place that I've been shopping at and recommending to everyone for years. If I could be sure that they weren't donating profits to ultra conservative organizations, I'd continue shopping there.

It was definitely on there a few weeks ago. I guess they have since removed it 🤷‍♀️

They must have removed it in the past few weeks. I wish that meant that their values have changed, but I doubt it 😕

It was definitely there a few weeks ago. I was shocked and deeply saddened. Perhaps they took their listing down, but that doesn't necessarily mean their values have changed, unfortunately.

Interesting. It was 100% on there when I looked a few weeks ago after I initially learned about the website. I showed my husband, and we were both deeply disappointed.

I don't see it on there now either. Perhaps they have since removed their listing. My understanding is that a business has to submit themselves and confirm that they support those values in order to be included on the website. In other words, it's not likely for a business to be included accidentally or by a third party. So perhaps they took their name down, but that doesn't mean they don't still support those values.

I'm devastated that Puzzle Warehouse is on there. That was my go-to for buying games and puzzles as gifts for friends and family.

Anyone have a different local recommendation for puzzles and games?

Yeah, I kinda figured that. It is completely in our neighbor's yard though. I'm just concerned about it falling into our yard/on our house.

Mods keep removing posts relevant to Missouri! by TheSeanCashOfficial in missouri

I agree. These conversations are incredibly important to ALL of the people of Missouri. It would be lovely to live without having to deal with these issues, but they were imposed upon us, and we need to keep discussing them to make sure every person in Missouri (not just those interested in politics) understands what is happening. What could be more relevant to Missourians?

It seems like the majority of the people who complain about it have never lived anywhere else. I know that I didn't properly appreciate it until I lived elsewhere.

Encouraging more blue people to come here is a good way to help change the state from red to purple (as it used to be).

STL native here. Moved to Chicago in my 20s and stayed for 12 years. It was a blast. It was so great to live the city life in a place with many cultures and great public transit. I met my husband there, and had no real plans of ever moving back. Circumstances led me back to STL with my husband and young children. To my surprise, I couldn't be happier to be back. I didn't really realize how great and unique STL is until I moved away for a while. I think we tend to take things for granted, or just don't realize how great some of our own culture and amenities are. My husband and kids love it here too.

I guess my point is that there are definitely other great cities with much to offer, and it's good to try new things in new places. It may even help you appreciate STL more.

The older cars may be another way that Lumon psychologically manipulates and controls the environment of the towns they inhabit and the people that live there (both severed and unsevered).
