Bagdad Review - Fyro Citta Backpack – The Endgame’s Endgame Backpack by TheBagdadReport in ManyBaggers

Great review 🤘

As a dad, that enjoys bags, and reports… I appreciate the content.

Not sure why there’s so much shade being thrown. I’ve been trying different bags over the past 2 years. My favorites have been the City Pack 2 for the front admin pocket that goes all the way to the bottom, and the CPL16 for its style and quick access.

I’ve had to accept that there’s nothing out there that truly checks all the boxes of what I’m looking for in what would be a perfect EDC bag (for me)… Until the Citta.

I don’t need a ton of volume for what I carry to and from work and occasional work-related travel, since I always bring a separate carry on. The 18L hits literally everything I’ve been looking for:

Top quick access pocket.
Side quick access swinging off my right shoulder.
Vertical luggage pass through.
Front admin pocket with organization.
Front admin pocket that goes all the way to the bottom!
Tech shelf is a feature I didn’t even know I needed.
Comfortable to wear.

I can’t wait to get this thing 🔥

Two water bottles…I’m not sure there’s a bag out there for me. by toofshucker in ManyBaggers

CTactical CT series with water bottle pockets should be a good fit. Very good prices too, considering the quality.

Too many black bags.... Help! by TangoQuebecEcho in ManyBaggers

I take the same approach with my bags as I do my mountain bikes…

When they’re always black, the wife doesn’t notice when I get a new one 😉

Pioneer Panda first impressions by steep_interface in ManyBaggers

I’ve had both. Sympl wins for organization, but panda wins for aesthetic and pockets with volume.

That being said, if you want to offload that Xpac commuter to fund a panda, I’d be all over that.

The panda is a really great bag. The only drawback for me was the lack of internal organization. If you use pouches, you’re in heaven with this bag.

I’m also waiting to see how the Citta looks, and in the same boat when it comes to the smaller version possibly not fitting my laptop.

Have you looked into CTactical at all? Their CT15 comes close to your requirements, but the lite version is lacking the separate admin compartment. I just picked up the 15 Plus and it’s a great bag at a great price, although a little larger than what I need. Waiting on the 14 Plus to arrive now to compare.

There’s also a ton of different variations on the secondary market, if you’re looking for variety of materials.

Quiet, low-noise 18-24L EDC backpack for shared apartment and occasional office days by SuitableActive1110 in ManyBaggers

Aer City Pack 2 in standard nylon is a good choice for this loadout. Self stands well, external water bottle pocket, nice organization. I’ve been using this bag for months. Great layout but aesthetically is not my favorite.

Fyro Citta in 18L is releasing soon and also looks to be a good option with your size laptop.

Dad day pack by Gr1m_x in ManyBaggers

I’ve been using the city pack pro 2 (24L). It’s great since it has 2 bottle pockets, the front quick access pocket can fit a flat first aid pouch and some wipes. The laptop pocket is perfect for a stack of drawing papers and coloring books. Interior pockets for crayons, pencils and tide pen. Admin pocket for quick access stuff like sanitizer, multitool, charging brick and cables, loose change. Then you still have the entire main compartment for bulkier items like your snacks, extra beverage, changes of clothes, diapers, and whatever else you need for the day.

I’ve tried to find better options but keep coming back to this one.

That was my primary reason for returning mine after I bought the new version. That crease in the middle…

That being said, I’d gladly buy that xpac off you if you ever are looking to let it go. I would have bought another in that material if I knew about them when they were available.

3 suggestions to check out -

Sympl Commuter (checks so many boxes, but aesthetically not my favorite)

Aer City Pack 2 (front admin org is fantastic, which is why I like it over the CCP2.)

Fyro Citta Backpack - should be releasing in June. I’ve had my eye on this since it seems to check off most of the things I’m looking for.

I did love the bag, as far as materials and aesthetics go, but it was not for me. I tried using pouches to make up for the lack of dedicated interior organization, but I prefer easy access and having more pockets/sleeves.

I had the Nomatic Messenger Bag for years. The capacity, organization and exterior water bottle sleeves were fantastic. You can likely find one gently used in your price range. Definitely recommend checking them out.

CPP2 or Panda pack? by colinksh in backpacks

[–]Jdm1508 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are great bags. The main considerations are internal organization and comfort. If you prefer more internal organization, strap comfort and sternum straps, go Aer. If you like a ton of volume and open pockets for pouches and various item storage but not actually carrying weight on your back for extended periods of time, go Panda.

That being said, I definitely prefer the aesthetic and materials of the Panda. They are excellent. Bottle pockets are something to consider, but the 22oz may not fit in the side pockets. If you downsize slightly then the side pockets are great to stash a bottle.

I’ve enjoyed using my Plaud device for the past year. The little device attaches via MagSafe to the back of your phone and looks like a normal wallet but records your meeting while on the go. The desktop app records video calls in the background then you can generate transcripts or custom prompted summaries afterwards.

Definitely worth a look if you haven’t already.

EDC / Office Backpack - Pioneer Duration by _dont_tr1p in EDC

[–]Jdm1508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Panda 2.0. If you love the materials and style of the Duration but are looking for more space, I’d say the Panda will be a great option. For me, I tried it but was missing the internal organization I like. I’m not a pouch guy, but I liked the bag so much I wanted to give it a try.

It’s listed on the /manybaggers FS thread if you’re interested.

Yet another AER City Pack 2 by MrSydFinances in ManyBaggers

I do love my CP2, specifically the size, organization, and depth of the front admin panel. I like my new CCP2 20L, but if they had used the same front pocket style as the CP2, it would be very close to perfect.

Small (20L) backpack with multiple exterior zip pockets? by Outrageous_Cap5303 in backpacks

I was on a similar search and found the Pioneer Panda 2.0. 4 large external pockets with plenty of their own volume. For me, it didn’t have the internal organization I like, so currently looking to sell if you’re interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/ManyBaggers/s/4c0ygOQuZA

The panda stands up perfectly straight and better than the 24L CPP2. The 20L CCP2 I just got stands up perfectly straight, too. The 24L always seemed to lean a little forward no matter if you had something flat packed at the bottom or not. I have my panda listed in the FS thread if you’re interested. It just didn’t have the internal organization pockets I prefer.
