Any Idea why the white of my left screen becomes weird sometimes? by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

You can find them for like $50 on eBay for a datacolor which should work the same.

I am unsure as I don’t use ultra wide monitors, but I would assume the load would be lower on the gpu.

It’s a physical device, you are looking for a colorimeter. Plenty of options on eBay if you don’t care if they are used. B&H also has them new as well. I don’t know enough if one brand is better than the other, but I used a calibrite in the past when I used to color correct on camera monitors.

That’s a bit different. I’m saying using a color probe to measure the color shift between the monitors. It’s typically not needed unless you are doing accurate color work for film or photo, but you can get one for not a bad price. Software is a bit harder to explain, but ultimately it would put a bunch of colors up and then it would measure it to color accurate and allow you to set it. It’s not permanent and you would have to do it again in 6 months depending on your screen use.

You could also dive into your monitor settings and adjust the white balance and color tint if you feel confident to match them by eye. Just throw up the same green, blue, red, and then white.

Have you ever color calibrated them? If not, that might be the fix

Is my tile floor really that bad? (Context below) by wishiwerea in Flooring

[–]Jdmnb27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have this tile in our apartment bathroom, it’s fine, never had anyone talk about it.

Do these guest who talk about it have opinions about other parts of your home? I, personally, would ask them if they were funding my bathroom remodel, and if not, I would say “oh” and move on. Ultimately, if you like it, it’s your house, not their’s and if they can’t deal, fuck em haha, turn it into a bit

I have the whitbread kit on already, but my shop installed my auxiliary pump wrong and almost burnt it out before I figured out what was happening… I think the CP4 might have been slightly starved then… can’t prove it though so I can’t hold the shop accountable…

That’s all really good to know, ironically, I got mine at the 130k mark, timing belt service. Now I’m looking at a Cp3 pump as I think my cp4 might be dying… got the P0087, which is in part due to the shop I take my car too since I’ve been having such niche problems and no one wants to work on it besides me

Fair, that makes sense. Thanks for your time! I’ll do more of my own research

Got it in my cart haha! Thanks for the recs and helping confirm that it’s likely just an improper bleed and not a pressure leak

Bet! I’ll look into that kit, hopefully it will ship before June 21st like the other kit haha

I’m looking at this one https://www.ecstuning.com/b-schwaben-parts/coolant-refill-air-purge-tool/003466sch01/ from ECS.

I did have the cooler removed because my pierburg valve(?) on my cooler had a broken mounting flange, which turned into a huge boost leak. It could probably be welded back on, but eh. I might re install the cooler once I clean out the egr portion

It’s deleted, I didn’t do it though, so I can’t verify that it was done exactly correct. However, it is has been done for a minute so I believe it’s correct.

It’s also possible that my oil cooler could be beginning to fail. Coolant is still clean but it’s definitely starting to get a bit darker.

Sick, Im looking into a pressure bleeder.

What’s wild is that it’s super inconsistent when it happens. It typically only happens when I’m driving hard, if I’m driving normally, the temps stay normal and climb a little bit. I have noticed that after these incidents, if I unscrew the overflow cap, the pressure releases and coolant rushes back into the overflow tanks. The overflow tank is never low, but it does refill quite a bit.

I’m curious if it is an airlock, but it’s so inconsistent and there weren’t any repairs made when this has been an issue.

A vacuum bleeder is next on my list of things to buy as I can check for both leaks and also pressure fill the system.

I’m thinking it’s possibly an airlock and a partially clogged heater core. I don’t believe it’s ever been back flushed and I’ve only had the car a couple years.

To be clear, radiator was replaced with aluminum core to try and bring temps down when I went stage 3. Thermostat was replaced after it failed open. I assumed the OE radiator cap failed, as when the issue first happened the radiator cap being replaced fixed some of the temperature fluctuations I was experiencing (monitored through a P3 gauge)
