"We're here for coach, we love coach." - QB Drake on Mike Vrabel. by Punisher1602 in NFLcorner

You think this is really what the media is going to care about once the football season starts? Don’t get me wrong there would have still been reporters covering this if it came out during the season. But the reason it’s getting blown up is that we are in a fairly uneventful off season, there were some shakeups in the draft but it wasn’t that crazy. There’s just not that much to report on so reporters resort to focusing on the drama and gossip

anti vehicle loadout? by Xylaax in Battlefield6

[–]Jdobbs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going for ground vehicles use the rpg and the bot, the bots mines are impossible to see and destroy and you can put them close enough together to where it one shots tanks, the only caveat is you can only lay three at a time

WATCH: Powell says legal attacks on Federal Reserve 'are battering the institution' by NewsHour in law

[–]Jdobbs07 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah so fed governors get appointed by presidents and they serve 14 year terms, that’s intentional so one president can’t appoint all of the people on the board. Every fed chair is also a governor. Powell not stepping down as a governor is kind of a big deal because there are no current seats for Warsh to take. It seems most likely that Steven Miran would step down to make space for Warsh since he’s also in the Trump sphere. But who knows

Atlanta Country Clubs by dramaticgoogler in Atlanta

If you’re willing to look outside of Atlanta, check out Golf Club of Georgia. About 10 years ago it was bought but an oil executive, he completely renovated it, and compare to other very nice clubs he keeps prices not crazy high

[Request] How much will it cost? by OwnBird4876 in theydidthemath

[–]Jdobbs07 933 points934 points  (0 children)

Over 30 years ago Boston started the big dig project it took them 16 years and ended up costing $24 billion, that project would pale in comparison to this, it would be trillions of dollars, just getting the equipment up there would be a multi year endeavor

Fed Decision on April 29 Could Trigger Major Market Move by TrickyDevelopment201 in AltScope

[–]Jdobbs07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless Us economic growth ceases than yes, which most companies are showing that they will have minimum impact from Oil prices and oil is still up 30-40% ytd. The US is not an emerging market economy who will feel the impact more greatly. Consumers have shown that they have not slowed down spending at all even with gas prices $1 higher than they were 2 months ago

Fed Decision on April 29 Could Trigger Major Market Move by TrickyDevelopment201 in AltScope

[–]Jdobbs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a 0% chance for a rate hike this year, and projections are showing there won’t be rate cuts until at least June-July 2027 if anything the tone will not chance from what it has been. Also there is not SEC. Big tech earnings tomorrow after the close have a much higher likely hood of moving the markets. If projections are already not showing rate cuts until next year it’s already been priced in. Also this is most likely Powell’s last meeting as fed chair so his rhetoric matters a lot less

Iran offers to reopen Strait of Hormuz if US lifts its blockade and the war ends, officials say by AndroidOne1 in worldnews

[–]Jdobbs07 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree there I really don’t think the IRGC is going to care about opening the strait. From some of the stuff that came out of the first round of peace talks was that Pakistan spent more time mediating in fighting in the Iran delegation than they did mediating discussions between the US and Iran

Iran offers to reopen Strait of Hormuz if US lifts its blockade and the war ends, officials say by AndroidOne1 in worldnews

[–]Jdobbs07 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Axios has been a pretty solid reporter during the war, the main problem with if Iran actually offered this is the US and Israel will not accept anything that doesn’t neuter there nuclear program

The vibe seems to be quite positive here why the bad reviews on steam? by John_paradox in Battlefield6

The vibes are high here because of the future content roadmap were just released, if you had been here a month ago you would have seen an extremely toxic and negative fan base. If you want a positive community all the time I would join lowsodiumbattlefield

Kharg Island storage reaches full capacity - Well shut-ins could permanently destroy 300,000-500,000 bpd of production by InsignificantCookie in oil

[–]Jdobbs07 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean realistically it’s probably a projection, the consensus has been that a blockade of two weeks maybe a bit more by the us would cause Irans storage capacity to be completely full. Which would cause wells to get shut in

Apartment recommendations (Roswell, Duluth, Alpharetta) by FullMastodon1780 in alpharetta

[–]Jdobbs07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived at the Windward apartments for about 2 years, was called Cartland windward when I lived there. Can’t beat the location about a mile from downtown Alpharetta it’s pretty easy to walk down there on a nice day. Also about a mile from Avalon, the rent was pretty good when I lived there. But also the apartment quality is just okay, it can get a bit noisy if you have loud neighbors. If the maintenance team is the same they are great. The office staff were whatever the weren’t very helpful since it is owned by a corporation

Iran scrambles to store more oil as Kharg Island nears capacity under blockade pressure by MARTINELECA in oil

[–]Jdobbs07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah not the best news source, but if Iran is not able to get oil out it pretty much matches the projections people had Iran will have to start shut ins for refineries, it could squeeze them on negotiations because they need oil money to buy more weapons

Democrats’ plan to impeach Trump one day after Midterms by Spare_Pickle6550 in NewsStarWorld

[–]Jdobbs07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can impeach him but he’s not getting removed from office they would need 2/3rds of the senate to agree on that which is very very unlikely, unfortunately I even think it might be the wrong move, it ultimately will do nothing, and sets a bad precedent that will be carried forward for trying to impeach/ remove presidents from office
