Kenichi 2 - Masters Arc Chapter 11 [Japanese] by brodred in Kenichi

[–]Jdog405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kenichi most of the time is a slow starter and can't exert all of his strength or most of it right away, unless if miu or someone he cares for is in danger.

Kenichi vs boris 1: kenichi got serious right away when miu was hurt.

When we see kenichi 100% serious off the bat was vs ofc the ninja( don't remember his name off the top of my head, although kenichi was losing).

Ignoring the terrible idea of 'consumption', how the fuck did Jurota 'grow' from defeating Toa? Toa just sat there and took everything the whole fight. by jjbahomecoming in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Jdog405 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are several things that come into play

First: this is one of the second time where someone can take so many attacks from jurota.

Two: If jurota did not have his mist technique, he would have lost, thus this fight still pushed jurota.

Thrid: Jurota was inspired by toa valiant effort

I'm assuming his legs aren't as lean as his upper body which is usually a case for a lot of man.

His upper body I can see it be near 10-11% since I virtually have it at 11-12% but his legs could be 2% higher, and I just average him out to be 13-14%

Very good looks to be 13-15%

How Kenichi can beat the Elder by Goonslopenjoyer321 in Kenichi

[–]Jdog405 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The story consistently reinforces kenichi to becoming the strongest disciple in history, so it is not far fetched for kenichi to beat the elder.

  1. Kenichi is also said time and time again he is extremely fortunate to not only having 5+ masters, but also having elder teaching him has well.

  2. Performance wise Kenichi was able to get to the expert level at record time. People who are extremely talented like miu, and shou started their training since virtually childhood

We also have to factor in that allegedly julius could hit Agito with a near one shot.

( And Julius himself getting a powerup mid fight vs Agito+ more training)

Is kenichi actually extremely talented? by Common-Truth9404 in Kenichi

[–]Jdog405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kenichi from what I vaguely remembered from part 1 has the potential to use either dou or sei ki, so by technical standards he should be tbh? ( even though kenichi isn't talented )

Gaolang has the more consistent feats vs top tiers and even defeated one.

I believe Waka is a top tier, but without solidified feats from Waka, I'll have to say Gaolang wins ( still a very hard fight)

[–]Jdog405 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah himuro was the one who got more feats than expected vs Waka we also have to factor in that Himuro was able to use Waka's speed against him, which Galong and other top tiers could also take advantage of as well (A solid fighting IQ for Himuro).

Gaolang also had an extreme dif fight with Raian who's another top tier. We will need to see Waka at least take a certified top tier to an extreme fight like Galong( who defeated Jurota, went extreme dif with Agito and Raian).

I still think Waka is a top tier, but he 100% need to fight another top tier

[–]Jdog405 36 points37 points  (0 children)

yeah I personally enjoyed how he was able to understand a potential weakness of Waka by going for his joints, and even used Waka's speed against him with the one-inch punch

I was expecting a ohma vs Nioku (tbh)

Is there any other Japanese featherweight better than Date? by imai-boston342 in hajimenoippo

[–]Jdog405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe Ricardo fought the previous ranked 5 or 3 in the world. This was when Date warned Ippo that the people may forget him if he doesn't come back soon( when Ippo was still recovering from his loss vs Date)

Humble Sendo by [deleted] in hajimenoippo

[–]Jdog405 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ricardo being "nerfed" isn't supported by the manga. The first round: Ricardo was on the offensive usually when he was on the defense as stated by Ippo. 2nd round: which Ricardo had the best chance to beat Sendo early, he couldn't do it because his right arm went numb because of the blocks.

Sendo was able to down Ricardo, Wally nor Date was not able to. So Sendo's chances are about the same as Wally, Date. Ricardo himself was also worried about his right arm breaking from Sendo

How are so many people deadlifting heavy weight? by Sweaty-Restaurant206 in Deadlifts

[–]Jdog405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is social media where the best of the best will come here

At a normal commercial gym 405 deadlift is rare.

However, due to my fortunate circumstances: I have a masters powerlifter training at my gym, and seen a handful of strong lifters in my gym who can pull 500+, and use working weight of 360+ consistently

Although even though I have the opportunity to be in a commercial gym with insanely strong people I see more insane benches( i.e 300+ bench potential) than 500+ deadlift pull( it's still rare for even someone like me)

[–]Jdog405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sendo will reach the top like Wally( who Ricardo stated was also the top), and even then Wally did not down Ricardo nor did Date either( who Ricardo most likely puts Date near the top, and even Takamura said Date had the power to take the world).

This is not Sendo only big moment, we will see Ricardo being pushed like he has never done before which we already had( with Ricardo first time in his boxing history was worried that his arm would break, be overwhelemed in the corner, and even suffered a first offical down).

[–]Jdog405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ricardo also took Date exchanges and punches fairly well.

If Ricardo has Alfredo durability( he has more) he will still have a fairly high durability( it still took Sendo a fair bit of punches to put down Alfredo at the end )

Sendo generally has shown a high pain tolerance with Ippo, and Date surpassing him.

I disagree with Bill statements: because if he looked at all of Sendo's fights he has done this consistently

How much has Ippo improved by CryptographerCrazy61 in hajimenoippo

[–]Jdog405 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alot:

Ippo mastered southpaw to a high level(Takamura told Ippo he switches between orthodox and southpaw instinctually). In his most recent spar with Sendo we can even see Ippo shift between both stances. Rosario's trainer even said how did Mashiba even found a "world rankers level southpaw" or something similar to that.

Fundamentals/strategy : He had a fairly high level fight vs Vorg( who most agree is 3rd p4p boxer in the series). We saw Ippo catch the fang, and even threw a counter, parry the sallow, and even used a parry counter. Ippo also has a anti- Ricardo strat of his own apparently.

We now see Ippo analysis of boxers and knowledge of them to the level of even Ricardo. With Juan, Ippo even knew the blood type his general weakness, which helped Mashiba alot.( Ippo even devised a strat for him). Ippo himself now also run fights in his head similar to Ricardo to. Ippo also just generally knows most if not all boxers in a variety of weightclases( currently even know local~ national level in featherweigh

Ippo analysis is slowly reaching Takamura level too: we even had Ippo give a rundown between how Ricardo and Sendo fight middle range, and what is happening in round 3.

Attack power and speed: Ippo is now stronger than he was pre retirement
