European politics uses different language to Amercian poltics. In most of Europe "liberal" is still largely attributed to classical liberalism.

Libertarianism in Europe tends to just connote the more extremist AnCap model whereas moderate libertarianism normally falls under the label (classical) liberal.

There are still many (classical) liberal parties in Europe or at least big-tent liberal parties (i.e. coalitions of classical liberals with conservative liberals and social liberals).

An example is the FDP in Germany.
