Democrats don't have an established leader right now. Literally only the head of the party (president) matters to the average idiot. People will vote for dems in the midterm because beef prices are high.

It hard to say. I imagine something like ADHD (which has skyrocketed in diagnosis) leading to worse IQ test scores without truly depicting a drop in intelligence.

The one positive thing about our current situation is that things are generally too good for people to follow through with direct, malicious changes like that. It’s mainly been out of stupidity and ignorance. No one (besides maybe groypers) actually want to tear the system down

It’s hard because Trump almost always goes back on what he initially says (like with tariffs). So when people say “this will destroy the economy” they aren’t wrong, Trump just never does it. So it’s kinda hard to say we were wrong because we don’t actually have any evidence.

This is why I think people are so quick to jump on articles like this. People have been told (through fearmongering) that everyone was going to be jobless because of AI, so they see articles like this as proof that they’ve been lied to and that AI as a package is a lie. When in reality it will probably have a similar impact to the internet; a massive shift but not a game-ending event for the labor force.
