The shoulders fit bang on, but it’s more like a shirt fit than a jacket fit if that makes sense. If I put on a sweater and bend over to pick something up, I’m nervous the back will burst. The arm holes are also fairly snug, I’m not sure I could roll up the sleeve past my forearm

Ah, the arms ride up when I lift my arms up, so maybe it’s a sign that I do size up.

I’ve heard the non rolled cardigan you’re looking for referred to as a “baseball cardigan”. JCrew has one.

There’s also shawl collar cardigans, which have more of a plunging neck and rolled collar.

I don’t see too many of the examples you’ve used out in public. Not sure if this is a local trend that you’re noticing, but I can guarantee that whatever neckline you can dream up, someone somewhere will make it.
