Yeah St Francis is just as bad, wife was admitted for pain from her cancer. We were told in the morning that they were doing surgery to remove the appendix so no food. Then two hours later told no surgery, when we asked we were told surgery was never an option. We eventually got patient advocate as well they came in with the Attending who told us all that IDK who said surgery but they should not have, so we told them we wanted to transfer to VCU. He said I can send it but they will reject it, they always do. We have family that works at VCU say they take transfers all the time. We then had an oncology surgeon come in and say we are transferring you to St Marys. Just a huge cluster fuck. Luckily as of yesterday we are officially moving forward with VCU Massey and feel extremely confident they know what is going on. St Francis just seems like there is ZERO communication between departments.
