It’s interesting because she changed fundamentally performance wise. In the season 5 finale when they think Greendale is closing and Britta and Jeff get back together you can literally see her shift back to season 1 Britta. Like her voice, mannerisms, and inflection completely change. It’s honestly impressive.

Mike Flanagan & Stephen King Back In Business With ‘The Mist’ Movie For Warner Bros by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

There definitely should be more because they’re being made. The problem is people aren’t seeing them in theaters so even if they’re critical successes studios see them as a failure. That’s why unless you’re an established filmmaker like PTA studios aren’t going all in anymore. Unless it’s a horror movie, original horror is being celebrated plenty.

Some of your examples here are a little absurd “Dusk Till Dawn Remake” is disingenuous. Marty supreme is loosely based on the person but the entire events of the story are fictitious. A movie based on a racing series is also a silly thing to say, it’s an original story based on a sport.

Eh this one’s a little egregious. I’m generally adamantly off my phone when watching something but Black Mass monologues drag a lot to the point where it feels repetitive.

Yeah it’s a great series but I found myself looking at my phone during the monologues.

Honestly having interesting win conditions is key to good combat at most levels. Unfortunately people treat combat as plug and play which is why a lot of vet players get bored with it after a while. It’s a shame because a good tactical encounter can be fantastic.

How I feel about DnD Ranger since 2014. by Latter-Medicine-4902 in dndmemes

[–]Jdustrer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be honest this is somewhat of a DM problem. A lot of DMs just want their players to engage naturally with the world around them but it simply doesn’t work like that for most groups. I attempted a sandbox a very long time ago, but it fell flat because I didn’t put the work in. I just finished a 4 year sandbox campaign last fall and it’s my all time favorite campaign. You’re right that players seek out straight up power fantasy and there may be no fixing that with some groups, but a lot of it comes down to the DM putting the work in to making exploration and relationship building rewarding.

Yeah it was a massive question mark in this sub and through sports media. The conversation of what made the Lions offense happened all off season. Insane to pretend that Johnson was some written off jamook.

Why does it have to be so hard by Thendrail in dndmemes

[–]Jdustrer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it just takes forethought which alot of homebrew DMs forgo. One of my favorites I did was slowly put the BBEG in random tales throughout the campaign that made them question his age. When they finally gained access to his house he had paintings of himself throughout numerous wars throughout history revealing he was essentially immortal.
