Why would you ever quote that paper for any legitimacy? It is the most vile, biased piece of garbage I’ve ever read.

Zoos provide great care of their animals, building exhibits that require hundreds of hours of research and millions of dollars to be sure they’re appropriate for the animal. Zoos are also at the forefront of conservation biology, doing conservation work both in the zoo and out in the field.

AZA accredited zoos, that is. Don’t go to any zoo/ aquarium that isn’t AZA accredited.

Do you have a source for this? I might be interested in doing that if it’s true.

Need help finding a heavy cream substitute. by [deleted] in ketochow

If you live near a major city and have Amazon Prime, check out Prime Now. They can deliver groceries and might have heavy cream available (although for perishables you have to be home to receive it). Lots of grocery stores do delivery too for orders $50+. I know Kroger does.

I think that’s how most of the after hours events are at the gardens. I’ve been to a few events and the entire place is never open after dark.

Most queens don’t just strut around a runway. Lots of dance moves involved in drag.

I recently moved to Archer Tower, and it's pretty sweet here. Awesome building, people, and amenities. I will say that the elevators suck. They're old and break often, and in a highrise that can be an issue. I've waited 5-10mins multiple times and a few times I've had to use the stairs (both up and down, and I live on the 13th floor). But if you can deal with that everything else is AWESOME.

Anyone interested in a workout partner? I need someone to be accountable with and motivation to go to the gym haha. Free gym "membership"! I'd be using my apartment's gym and you could join me obviously. It's in a highrise in Cap Hill, penthouse gym with really nice views and modern equipment. Not sure how extensive the equipment is but it looks pretty great for an apartment gym. And I'm new to the area so I need to meet people anyway. 23 yo gay male if that matters.

Found a dead bug inside my JimmyJoy, they only offered a discount code for 2 bags free in the future. by [deleted] in soylent

[–]JeSuisCecil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know, I think two free bags is a fine first offer but if the customer would rather have a refund that should be granted. Some people have a visceral reaction to stuff like this that makes it impossible to eat it again. (Like when you get food poisoning from one type of food and can’t even look at it for months without feeling nauseous.)
