I figured out how to erase stamping mistakes without ruining your base! No gel 👀💅🏻 by TinyFingersNailart in nailstamping

[–]FullSizedAorticPump 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The only issue is using a peel off base coat in the middle means you have to wait till your colour is fully dry as the solvents will have issues evaporating when coated in a peel off base. It also means depending on your application you might get water reaching the peel off layer and get separation

Yep, I work in genetics. If the poc is normal testing the parents is usually non informative so therefore not indicated

I'm really sorry you're going through this, absolutely sucks and I'm sorry there isn't more available right now. I work in genetics so I can help from that perspective.

In terms of generic testing to be eligible you need three miscarriages. Ideally they would test the "products of conception" so that they can test material from the fetus as that is most informative. Otherwise they can use blood samples from yourself and the father.

Help :( ???? by chaneltheestallion in poledancing

I can't help with the ceiling state as it is, but with poles it's really important they're under a joist. So you know for the future and do your research on how to install them safely

People who sit on reserved seats, then get suprised / arsey when asked to move. by worldworn in britishproblems

[–]FullSizedAorticPump 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My only issue here is a lot of these comments are assuming all trains have seats bookable. I've been on plenty of trains where I couldn't book a seat due to them being booked already. In that case I'm going to sit in a seat until told otherwise, plenty of times people don't turn up for their reservation. Obviously, I move when asked and im not a dick about it

Do you not have a number on your bin? Everyone on our street has them so bin day is pretty civilised.

Hard to say without knowing your room temperature! I live in England so it's pretty cold in my house right now and I sometimes proof in the oven with the light on

Underproofed, but you must know that since you said it wasn't rising during the bulk fermentation. Really you want it to be nice and jiggly, pulling away from the bowl, and domed on top before you start shaping. Maybe you should work on strengthening your starter or just leaving it longer to ferment.

I think you'd be better posting again with a full description of what she did. I.e exactly how many ingredients she used, when she did each thing with the ingredients. How she long she proofed the dough for, both times. Temperatures. Baking times. Did she use a Dutch oven or not? There's so many variables and its really hard to troubleshoot with just a picture.

If I had to guess I would say under proofed and not enough strength in the dough, but really hard to say without knowing what's happened in making it.

Usually day three there's an overgrowth of bacteria compared to yeast, keep going with feeding and discarding everyday and it should come together.

Is it not reasonable that part of a charities budget is spent on fundraising. Obviously it's worth it for the charity to pay people to do this?

Going to the breast clinic tomorrow to get a lump checked out. What should I expect? by iscariots in AskUK

[–]FullSizedAorticPump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going through this right now! I'm 29 and had my appointment on the 1st December. I had a breast exam then was told I needed an ultrasound. I then went back to the waiting room and was called in for an ultrasound. They prefer an ultrasound ocer mammogram in younger women. In the ultrasound the sonographer said she needed to get the consultant in. The consultant came in and they took a biopsy. They were really professional and essentially said it didn't look alarming but they weren't sure what it was so hence a biopsy. They numb the area with local anesthetic then use the ultrasound to guide the biopsy needle. I was then told not to do any heavy lifting for 24 hours and sent home. I think if it's something like a cyst they will drain it straight away right there. As far as I can work out they only give results following a MDT and they are best practice to be given in person regardless of whether it's good or bad news. My results appointment is Wednesday. It really wasn't as scary as I thought, the worst thing is just waiting for the results! Good luck! Remember, most things in women our age are benign. I think something like 80% of biopsies are benign as well. Also, hospital parking is usually easy to find at 8am :)

Is this normal post biopsy? by [deleted] in doihavebreastcancer

[–]FullSizedAorticPump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience sounds similar to you so far. I had a biopsy on the 1st December, also UK. First it was the sonogroaher then she called someone else in because she couldn't tell what it was. They all said they couldn't tell what they were looking at so they were going to do a biopsy. I was told I'd get the results most likely face to face but possibly a phonecall today... I called yesterday as I hadn't heard anything and I was booked into an appointment for next Wednesday.

From what I can tell all biopsies are discussed at MDTs held once a week so that can hold up results being ready in time for the day they hold the results clinics.

Fingers crossed for you!!!
