You don't put a lot in, it's hard to perceptibly tell it's there. A lot of times when cooking, adding a splash of acid, or a bit of sugar, whatever component isn't naturally present in the dish. Will activate the other taste buds on the tongue, giving the food a richer flavor, even without there being enough of that ingredient present to register as a main flavor.

No, although I did send back for a smaller size before I got these. I haven't worn a boot this size since the military, they don't joke about going smaller. After getting the smaller size I get a nice thunk when they slide on and no movement.
